Wise words from my Cuban grandmother.. “Every woman should have a secret emergency account that you deposit into routinely. Even if it’s $20, you put it away.”, I’m glad that I listened. One day domestic violence showed its face for the first time in my marital home. Within TWO days I had a house rented and my kids and I moved. Gracias Abuela!

My husband did the same thing but he didn't take physical things. He starved himself so he would lose weight and tell people he did because I was abusing him while he was the one abusing me emotionally and financially, he refused to work so I would be the one taking care of everything on a teacher salary and he wasted my savings then cheated and brought his side chick in my own house. I left, moved to another country and rebuilt myself up. We are survivors.

My ex-husband did this to me. He physically assaulted me the week prior and I told him I wanted a divorce. When he saw I had been looking for places to live he moved out with all of our household furniture including 2 dining room sets and couches. I came home from work with our then 2 year old to an empty house. He took me through a nasty divorce and I walked away with no support. Met my soulmate 2 years later after healing and letting God take control. Fast forward 8 years and I've married my soulmate, bought a house, luxury cars, family vacations - all debt free. Ex-husband still has the furniture, is struggling and miserable. Don't play with God's children. 🙌🏽
  • He called her and asked her to take him back, she said, NO! She's dating. She's living her best life. I am so proud of her.

Man's rejection is God's protection l have no problem letting a person go.
  • My girlfriends husband left her for a woman he met online. They were married for over 20 years. Her career has soared since. Her kids are doing well and in college. She is now married to a man who is good to her and for her. Her ex married and divorced the other woman. His leaving ended up being a blessing.
  • The husband was definitely a narcissist. He discarded her but when she healed herself and got all this positive attention (that is well deserved), that's why he wanted to come back. The other girl (because I'm sure there was one) probably threw him away too. I can't stress how proud I am of this woman for getting out of a toxic situation. It's all up from here, girl!

Everyone is speaking on the lady in pink and she deserves it, but can we give the friend her flowers as well because her support was special ❤️

My husband did the samething to me went home to an empty apartment even took the carpet and vacuum lol. I was heart broken didn't know what to do we had a 8 yr old that I had to explain the empty apartment to and why dad doesn't live here anymore. Once I stopped crying I went back to school became a RN got my own car my own place i now travel and got my peace of mind. Waiting on my divorce to be finalized and thank God he left because I wasn't happy. Thank God for where I am today.
  • My husband of 20 years left me for a married woman he met on his commuter train. He took everything we owned. I left that marriage with the clothes on my back only. I told my divorce lawyer the details, he told me it was the worst case of financial abuse he had ever heard of. It’s a lesson you never forget. Fast forward 3 years, I’ve never been happier. Life is beautiful and I can’t believe I stayed with that loser for so long. When they dump us for another, they are doing us a big favor❤️

In 2014 I was 3 months pregnant with a 1 year old fleeing an abusive marriage. My family had to come get us out of Alabama from Michigan. When threats didn't work my ex-husband immediately drained the banking account, and we started over with nothing. From there I got back in education, became a Principal, and started a business. My daughters are happy and healthy, and as a family we are helping other people. Tests like these become your greatest testimony. God bless you all! We're on the top and going higher.

"I was there to remind her of her plans, our plan" what an amazing friend.
  • My husband did this years ago. I went to work and when I came home everything was gone, including the coffee pot. When he showed back up days later everything had been replaced and he was mad because he didn’t expect that. I’m so happy for this young lady and I wish her the best.

The reason people asked her what she did is because it's frightening to think something like this can happen without reason. If she did something, then they will be safe as long they don't do that thing. She was a soft spoken, submissive wife and still got played. That's a scary thought for people who believe that there is magic formula for making another person happy. The truth is we don't have any control over our partners no matter what we do.

This happened to me. Leaving me with 4 children. I came back from a family dinner. I had such a great time. I drove an hour to get my beautiful home looking forward to seeing my husband. I walked in my beautiful home was empty. Even took the family TV and game system. I was so heartbroken. Someone said to me what did you do. What how dare you? I loved him and our family. I thought I did what I what he needed. Sometimes people have their own things they are dealing with and don't communicate that. Sometimes we think things are good and then we find that's not the case at all. It was a journey but now I'm even better than I was before. My children and I are thriving. I now have my own business, car and home and still loving life.
  • My husband of 16 years did the exact same thing with the help of his MOTHER.. and brother..he has since moved into another woman's apartment and served me divorce papers on our anniversary. I am BETTER than I gave ever been! The blessings that have come since still blows my mind! Good bye and good riddance..

He only reached out because the world saw what he really was. Sad. I'm HAPPY she's doing well. ☺️

When she told Tam that she was dating…Tam almost jumped out of her skin!! If your village isn’t this happy for you, you don’t need ‘em!! Thanking God that my village acts a fool for me and supports me just like this!! ❤️❤️❤️
  • Oh this is so emotional to me right now 😩😥 my husband did the same thing to me 6 years ago. But now I'm happy to be financially free and currently growing a solid retirement plan. It takes a positive and consistency to learn new things, unlearn the old habits ms Important to get a mentor/coach to lead you all the way. It's great to start young too!
