You mentioned it's a windy area. How does the wood chip/mulch hold up do they blow around the yard?

I have a Sd9ve and these threaded barrels are long sold out. So I’m thinking about putting a Glock 17 threaded barrel in my sd9 with a Glock 19 guide rod. wondering will this work or not, and be able to function and shoot. Not concerned about lock back or the slide being a little off as long as it fires. Yay or nay?
