My brother actually went for 30 days consuming nothing but Beer. I have to say his life improved greatly. He was able to get rid of his wife AND his job and fish all day.

Not medical advise from myself nor am I discounting anything the good doctor is saying but I personally know someone went on a strict ' fruit cleanse' to deal with a health issue for 30 days. They did grapes, bananas, apples and lots of watermelon. By the end of the time they lost about 15lbs, had skin looked like a newborn baby and to this day the health issue is gone. That was about 3 yrs ago.

All I know is my brother went on a 80% fruit/20% vegetables diet for 90 days. He ate nothing but mostly fruit and some vegetables for three months, and his A1C dropped from 6.4 to 5.9, his fasting blood sugar was 86, and he lost 26 pounds.

I went 60 days fruit only and I’m no type 2 diabetic and lost 21lbs mostly fat. The whole fruit thing is a misconception based on sugar. It’s definitely not the same as eat processed foods with sugar.
  • @bigbusiness6067
I’ve been on a all fruit diet for 23 days now & it’s 1 of the best decisions I’ve ever made
  • Fruit heals! Our bodies run off natural fructose!! ATP fuel!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I´m a diabetic type 1 for 24 years, since I was 12 yeas old. The last 3 years I´m on a journey trying to improve my health and possibly even get rid of the disease, even though I´m aware that the official narrative is that my pancreas will never produce insulin again. 2 years ago I decided to eat only fruits, including avocados which I love. The first 3 months were awesome. I had a lot of energy, I even lifted weights. I was not hungry all the time, but I have to admit that the avocados were helping in that regard! My insulin intake was dramatically reduced and there were a few times that I ate without even having to shoot insulin, which had never happened to me since I was diagnosed. I did not gain weight, quite the contrary I lost a lot of weight. I went from 70 kg to 51 kg. My height is 1.75. In fact I was losing so much weight that I stopped lifting on the 4th month and eventually I was finding it hard to even carry the grocery. I had lost a lot of fat but also a lot of muscle. And that was the reason I stopped the fruit diet. I just needed to gain weight and I needed a warm meal during winter. I recently started vegetarian keto, eating veggies, eggs and cheese and so far I have similar blood sugar levels as when I was eating only fruits. But the difference is that on keto my blood sugar spikes much less. So,from my experience, fruits are not like soda. Fruits do not promote fat storage, at least they didn´t for me. Plus, my blood glucose was on good levels. The only problem for me with the fruitarian lifestyle is that it´s not sustainable long term. I´ll see how it will go with keto.

Not that long ago, breakfast was the most important meal of the day. Now you better skip it. Not that long ago, fat was the worse thing to eat and sugar wasn't that bad, now it's quite the opposite. Not that long ago, cereals where the foundation of the pyramid, now cereals are real bad. Not that long ago, milk was very healhty, not anymore. Not that long ago, eggs were a no-no, too much cholesterol. Now are among the healthiest things you can eat. Not that long ago, fruit was very healthy, now turns out fruit is unhealthy. As time goes by, is becoming increasingly hard to believe any diet advice... let's see what they say in ten years.

"It's not what you eat, it's what your body does with it." It took me almost 30 yrs to learn this

My triglyceride is 455. I eat very little processed sugar but I eat a lot of fruits. This video solved the mystery of my elevated triglyceride number. Thank you! Your videos are superb and informative. You are by far my favorite source of health and nutrition information. 🙏🏽

Thank you Dr Sten explaining it all so detailed and basically. I understand anything better when it makes sense to me.

"Everyone is different".... I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes about 1.5 years ago. My A1c was 7.5 and blood sugar was around 165, peaking around 200. Since then I have been following Dr Ekberg and trying to control sugar and carb intake and have been largely successful (except for Christmas... ouch). My A1c was down to 6.2 and my sugar was consistently around 115. What I have found out though is that as my sugar approaches 100 I start to get sick. My doctor doesn't seem to have an explanation for it but I have to stay around 110 in order to not feel sick, shaky and sweating. Even at that number though I seem to be doing very well and feeling great. Oh and I lost 30 lbs too... thanks Dr Ekberg!
  • I went on all fruit diet for a month it was very difficult but I heard it would cure my interstitial cystitis which caused dreadful pain and I was having to go to toilet every five minutes, within twenty four hours my bladder improved which encouraged me to stay on the diet I then added vegetables then cooked vegetables within two months my bladder was seventy five % better plus I lost two stones in weight. I then started to add normal food, my bladder is now 90% better I hope this helps people who suffer with interestial cystitis to give it a try for 48 hours.

I love your videos. Just wanted to add that in remote places (north Canada) frozen vegetable and sometimes fruits are better than fresh one because frozen vegetables are frozen right after harvest but fresh ones spend month in refrigerator and will lose a lot of its quality. What is your opinion on that?
  • Theory is often remarkably different from the results in practice; in practice, the more fruit people eat, the more weight they lose, the lower blood pressure and, over time, better blood sugar control they achieve. This has been borne out in numerous long-term population studies.

I follow the LCHF lifestyle...lost weight, kidney function reversed from stage 3 back to stage 1, high cholesterol back to normal, my brain fog lifted and I have much more energy.

Couldn't be a better day for me not to be able to sleep. You are part of the joy in my Friday. When ever I need to calm myself or go to a happy place you are one of the faces, voices and personality that I think of. All the best to you and yours Sten.
  • Dr Sten, you feel like home...rational, calm and thought-provoking as usual.
