I'm tired of "what's up?" starts on YouTube videos. It's the stupidest way to begin a non-conversation.

The colors on strip discs = purple harder, blue medium and black softer. Use black to clean. Blue is general purpose. Purple is best at removing slag, rust, powder coat, etc. Don't push down hard, let the disc do the work with a light to medium touch.

Thank you for this suggestion. Best rust and mill scale remover I've used

I like how you give everything in detail. You have helped me out even with tip on tig welding as well. With prime welder. Really appreciate it
  • Ordered up 5 disks as soon as I saw this. All scale removal, and no grinding distortion ... just let the disk work. Just a quick acetone wipe down first and no clogging. Great post!!

I've been using flapdiscs for damn ever and never tried one of these. I just added them to my amazon cart for checkout on Friday. I can't wait to change it up with these new discs. I was always wondering how people do that without zero loss of material. Thank you so much for this video and for opening my eyes to a new product.

I've only somewhat recently discovered non woven discs for mill scale removal, absolute game changer. I agree with all the points you made. I have only used the Norton's Blaze Rapid Strip and the regular Rapid Strip and they are great but pricey (but still worth it!), I'll have to check out the ones you recommend and compare.

Gday, I’ve looked at these a few times but never gone the next step but I think I will now, thanks mate, cheers
  • Perfect timing. I have seen you use and comment on these before and I thought I should get some. I have a project I'm starting on in a week or so and they'll come in handy stripping mill scale of the metal. I just ordered a package off your link. Don't spend the commission all in one place!

Very good review, thank you. I haven't used my 90 degree in quite a while but I think I'll get some of these (just in case I need to clean a surface). I'm a tool junkie!!

Never used them, but they sounds great and a really big help. Definitely have pushed a little to hard in some regular flap discs when removing millscale and rust and messed up the metal, and other times not pushing hard enough it takes forever to remove. Thanks for sharing and good point on not using it to round edges. -Jonny

Hey I need a good respirator. I'm curious what model you use?
  • @tladoux
Have you heard of these with X-Lock?
