I had an uncle, he was a war hero, he got shell shock, I wish my grandparents could have explained it to us children, my grandmother showed me some shells made into an airplane, she said never mention it to my uncle God Bless
  • Great uniforms, weapons and sound effects. Could lose the british accents. Put marbles in your mouth to help. Also, the 101st were in great shape, not weighing 275 pounds. And you don't smoke. I can smell a smoker 3/4 mile away.

The 101st had American flags sown to their sleeves when they dropped into Normandy. Paratroops were not overweight, middle-aged men, and I suppose we are to believe they picked up English accents while they were training in Engalnd.

Someone needs to tell these "soldiers" to keep their bloody fingers off the triggers when you have friendly soldiers in front of you.

omg I found a dog tag of a Mr Kenneth McKnight who was from orange county massetusses who was part of this company in 2004 in a field in chaddelswerth England and i was able to send it back to him as he was still alive he was injured on landing on the d day landings and was safely transported to a mansion a few mile from an American air force base in england not far from where i found his dog tag which was made in to a hospital after speaking to the farmer sadly he died a few years after he was 84 when i returned it to him and his family were so grateful i often think about you Mr Mac Knight rest in piece i was so happy i was able to return such an amazing piece of your life to you.

I served as a Widowmaker from 1992-1996 (C-3/502 Infantry Regiment. I will watch to see if this turns in to a feature-length film.

My late uncle was with the 82nd, he said ,he, and most of the others, lost much of thier gear, due to the prop wash, and wind. So these guys being fully equipped, is a stretch.
  • I had the privilege of meeting a man who came in on the gliders on D Day. He engaged a German in heavy fog. He survived. God bless him. His name was Joe Lucero. His experience of D Day was short but the main thing is that he survived. God bless all those who served and still do, to this day.

When watching this German veterans have said they never understood this crouch position, he said they lay prone and were ready to fire that made them hard to hit. Americans bunched together, or they rolled to the right r left I can’t remember. Saying they were easy targets when grouped together.
  • I thought this was excellent. I know that there will be those who will want to celebrate every little error made in filming but you can safely ignore those. Learn lessons for sure but those critiques are more about boosting their ego than be constructive. Yes, I’m sure you will review this and know what could be done a little better next time. I saw it for free and am very grateful. I obviously don’t know your budget but I presume it wasn’t large: well, you did a very good job. Good acting; excellent photography and a very interesting storyline. I love that you didn’t go straight into the guns firing - a lesson others should surely take. I very much look forward to the next episode.
  • comments are critical - but i will tell you even the highest budget films about WW2 fall far, far short of the mark on accuracy. saving private ryan - the opening beach scenes were FULL of errors. so, for a very low budget film this one is actually pretty cool - who (no matter what age) wouldn't want to be doing this ? hell, tom sizemore was 87 years old during the filming of SPR and he was about 300lbs overweight.
  • @armyfc.1225
Filming is very good. I like it 👍🇹🇭
  • 502nd Company? Pretty sure they meant 502nd Battalion. Companies are normally named A, B, C, etc. Battalions are normally numbered, as are brigades.
  • @angloaust1575
It's only a reconstruction of ww2 Just imagine if they had helmet cams then See the action as it happened!
