Kittens Meet Uncle Buster for the First Time!

Buster has that look like "the king will be on his throne ready to greet his patrons"

lol I love that Buster sit in "his" bed and the kittens were presented to him one by one like the king he is! Jokes aside, very interesting interactions! It seems that Buster put the too confident kittens (Ada and Isaac) down a peg or two, scolding them for their faux pas, and was very sweet with the shyer ones. Galileo seems to have struck the perfect middle and looks clearly the favourite of the bunch. Also I think it's not easy to realise how smooth these interactions are, it's absolutely not a given. Special cats indeed!

Ada figured out quickly what she had done wrong against Buster. She gave him more respect on her second approach. He seemed to approve of her responsiveness.

Buster was intrigued by Galileo but when a second kit was presented you could see the wheels turning:’what is this? Another one?’ So Ada got the ‘watch it girl’ then ‘alright what now’ with the next two. Then he seemed most intrigued by Leonardo… a creampuff boy most like himself! ( who just settled in to chill with Ole Uncle!)

Buster looks exactly like my Argo, who I weaned and had him until he finally died of old age. The largest and best cat I ever had. He was so gentle and placid! I never heard him growl or hiss - ever. His purr was so loud he’d wake me up in the middle of the night. I still miss him and it’s been many years. 🐈‍⬛

For some reason, I think we all can truly sympathize with little Isaac.

Buster seems to bolster specifically the self esteem of the least assertive of the kittens. The kittens who came forthright into his space he checked or put a stop to, while he dwelled gently and supportively on the bashful ones.

They're getting so big! Buster is the perfect uncle...only one tiny growl and one hiss. He seemed quite comfortable sitting on the bed like a king on his throne. I think he is simply terrific 👍👍💯💯💯

And I thought I couldn’t be any more in love with Buster 😻…he is just marvelous! And Galileo is such a cutie 😽…
