We continue on the Alpine Loop from California Pass to Animas Forks. Engineer Pass was still closed so we headed back to Silverton. Next stop Mt. Antero Colorado.

Goodness that was a lot of snow up there we were there running those passes the month before in july. What a memorable trip thanks for sharing

I tried to come up to Colorado Pass today and just as I turned to finish the switchback at the 4:11 spot of your video a rainstorm hit and soaked those slate chips they use as gravel. I could get no grip. But I was in truck weighing twice a Rubicon with 2 tons in the back. Nope. Wasn’t gonna happen. Nice views though.

Great video Don, heading up there in September. Did you guys go from ironton thru corkscrew, hurricane, California to silverton? If so about how would I need for that.
