This time on Knucklehead Garage we are finally hitting pay dirt on Project Towverlander our 7.3 Excursion Overland vehicle build. We have outfitted the Diesel Excursion overland vehicle with some of the best overlanding stuff you can buy and will be driving this 1 ton beast 5000 miles from Atlanta, Georgia to Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and back. This will be the ultimate overlander test with an epic mix of trail riding and camping. For this episode we are hitting Pike's Peak before hitting some trails on our way to camp and take the biggest SUV ever made down the treacherous Black Bear Pass off road trail in Colorado. We might try to do it in 2wd just to prove how capable the Overland Excursion build is. We can't believe how much fun overlanding Colorado can be.     I like how most overlanders cook steaks, chicken, fajitas, burgers, some will even go as far as make birria and other amazing stews. In comparison, van-lifers will be eating avocado toast, soy milk, vegan this, gluten-free that. Don't get me wrong, i'll eat some of that stuff, but man, can't beat a good steak.

    25 ish years ago I did the same trip with my dad. We got trapped/ stuck near the top of Black Bear pass in a snow storm. Had to spend the night up there. Good times. Thanks for taking me back/ along.

    COLORADO IS INCREDIBLE! Mountain views for days, no video or picture can visually do justice. You must go for yourself. Been there this year for a week and would go back 10 times more if I could. Just breathtaking

    I’ve watched this episode idk how many times. I just took over my dads 7.3 excursion with an easy breezy 106xxx miles. I’m planning a long overland venture into Mexico for 6 months. Your build definitely gave me inspiration and great thought into how to build my rig. I’ll be towing an off-road trailer as well. Keep up the great content guys💪
