  • Amazing feedings with the worms that took me way back. I was 11 years old and had a fully grown, absolutely beautiful Jack Dempsey in a 29 (don't judge I was a kid in the 70's and my brother's friend wanted out of this fish and gave it to me). All summer, in huge storms when the night crawlers would end up on the sidewalk (you have seen this I am sure) my Dempsey ate well. My neighbor was a huge fisherman and had a colony of crawlers too so occasionally I nabbed a few. Also, all summer, there were crickets that somehow made their way into the house...and ultimately into the Dempsey tank after I caught them. Predator fish attacking natural food is amazing to see. And they seem sooo happy. You rock Phil. .

    Those are some gorgeous looking fish! The worms would be too large for Bettas?
  • Yo Phil, what's up? I miss screwing with you at the club meetings. Awesome seeing those little baby turtles from the auction all grown up. Do you feel like spending all your money on some insanely cool wild-caught first-time-imported yellow-spotted overripe-banana-peel dojo loach relatives so you can breed them in your pond and give me all their babies? I know a guy. Hit me up and I'll send you some pics.

    Super great video dude we have a huge compost we use for this too we put all our leaves in there and just a quick turnover gives us a bunch or worms....everyone loves the worms!

    They truly are a great food. I use newspaper, coffee grounds, veggie & fruit peelings, fall leaves & fish food. Thanks for sharing. <•))))~{

    Why do you don't farm black worms in one (all?) of your aquariums ?
  • @WhitExNoodlE
    When I buy them from 6th ave I keep them in the fridge like you guys do but would keeping them in a bin and not in a fridge like you did be better? Like room temperature? Total bonus if they breed, how long does that take?
  • I live in a small rented apartment. I dont have a backyard. Do you think i could grow them in a bucket in the closet?
