Damn right 2 speed or bang shifters are all cool till you start street driving. Same with 'race clutches' when you can get good clutches that don't give dead legs.
Also quiet exhaust on a car you want to take across county will save so much fatigue. -
Nice to see someone doing the hard work and making a really drivable fun classic.. as someone from a transmission background I appreciate how much went into getting that right!

Watching the video of this stunning RX3 saddens me. Of all the cars I've ever owned since 1989, I miss my very first car most, which was my Savannah RX3 . To this day, I wish I never sold her. 😔

This rotary i could actually own not overly loud ❤ and seems to cruise really well. Even as a v8 owner i dont understand the really loud exhausts where its actually painful to be in the car for more than a few minutes in whatever its powered by 4,6,8 rotary etc.

The last Mazda RX3 I drove had a 12B motor and it went like the clappers.
It was no where near as beautiful at this car. So pretty. 😍

I've always wanted to put a modern 8-10 speed auto on like an old carbureted v8 and see how much better they are over 3 and 4 speed autos from the 70s-2000s

The ZF autos are an incredible transmission. Cool to see the mix of old and new in this build.
