I was at my kitchen window when I saw this beautiful Barred owl. My husband and I have seen many Barred owls throughout the years, but we'd never seen a young Barred owl until this one landed on our deck. At the end of the video you'll see the parent bird land on the right side of the deck and then they'll fly up to the roof. We hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

  • Look how silly that baby was...it really was playing! I love birds. I spend the winter in Montana and my flock of hungry turkeys always comes back. :)

Hello again @Kimberly....I can't believe what I'm seeing here. It's 23.51 and right outside our window, less than ten feet away is our very regular night visitor, a beautiful big barn owl. He or she sits in one of our old gnarly apple trees watching for it's next meal of mice that visit our pond for a drink at night and get caught going back to the big field next to us. My lovely wife and I both imitate it's call. She does it more melodic than me and it generally responds..... So i go to your channel, low and behold, there's a beautiful Owl with it's young right there in front of you. The baby is having such fun! Birds are our passion..... We live less than a mile from Stonehenge so enjoy wonderful wildlife and beautiful scenery........ It's the simple little things in life that we enjoy.....I wish you wonderful calm birdwatching.

Owl’s are my favorite birds. Did you know they can swim? Search YouTube on Owls swimming and there are lots of videos. Thank you for sharing.
