Barefoot Gardening | Planting Crazy Tomato & Melon Varieties

Published 2024-05-19
Join me for some barefoot gardening in the Big Garden on this beautiful Sunday afternoon! We'll take advantage of the 80 degree weather, rototilling and planting some crazy tomato varieties - and some Kajari Melon seeds - from Baker Creek Seed Co. ‪@bakercreekheirloomseedcomp8380‬

I bought these seeds on a late night online seed shopping spree a while back:    • Spring Garden Prep: Let's Go Online S...

  • I'm 63 and I hate shoes lol bare foot is the best! Sorry you missed the Northern Lights. Here in WV they were amazing, I never dreamed I would ever see them in my life time. Who knows maybe someday I'll even see the Ocean.. love your garden. Sure bring back so many memories. Now I only have 3 tomatoe plants. Thanks fir sharing

I like going barefoot too. It’s good for us. Some people call it Grounding.

Glad to see. I'm not the only barefooted gardener. Great looking garden Ryan. Can't wait to see it mature full of Veggies. And yes the Northern lights were gorgeous up here on the East coast of Canada. Stay Blessed😊

Beautiful garden Ryan. We have one about half that size.here in Georgia. We had drainage problems for years and ended up installing drain tile on it to an underground cistern. The water collects in the 500 gallon underground cistern tank and we have a sprinkler pump hooked to it for watering when needed or if it gets full it will pump through a pipe off into the woods. Works awesome and the garden is healthy.

How long till there will be tomatoes ready to eat? It will interesting to see what those different varieties are like.

Funny I just made a video hasn’t gone public yet asking if anyone does barefoot gardening besides me

What potting soil do you recommend for planting African Violet seeds? We ordered rare violet seeds. Since you raise unique plants, though, you would be the best person to ask. We live in middle TN. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide. Love both your shows. 😊
  • me im a sucker for orphan plants that grow from my compost bins , no puns intended , amazing what survives the winter and composting action ,and sprouts, get flowers \vegetables\ even trees that sprout up ,lots of leaf mulch from neighbours yards in fall , so most are ordemtale types and not native , zone 4b , east coast Canada y;all 🥸
