Who is watching this now that we can connect the PSVR2 to our PCs soon?
  • @TruTxn82
As a PSVR2 owner, not being able to order controllers separately to replace broken ones should be the only reason not to buy it. Had it for a year, one of the controllers started having horrific drift and now doesn’t work. And guess what? They’re not sold separately. Do not buy the PSVR2 unless they start selling controllers separately.

I agree about Fresnel lenses being inferior to pancake lenses, but when comparing visuals, it's not just fidelity (and the effect of dynamic foveated rendering on fidelity), display tech is really important, and the PSVR2 uses OLED which creates an image with a much greater dynamic range and much greater black levels, and that makes a huge difference in a lot of games. (I own both headsets, but if a game is available on both headsets, I will always play it on PSVR2, games generally look prettier, and the haptics and adaptive triggers are an absolute game changer.)

One thing to consider with stand alone is I use different places in my home to play or workout. When you're tethered, you're committed to one location regardless of your area needs. Also you can bring it anywhere and play. That's big for me.

You can get 3rd party headstraps and controller adapters easily for $100 or less no need to spend $200. If you get a headstrap without battery you can get a very comfortable padded one for well under $50

If you don’t already own a PS5 the quest crushes the PSVR 2 and it’s not even close. If you do own a PS5 it’s close.

The Quest 3 is my first ever headset. Want the PS2 for GT7. WIll buy both.
  • @dennisrogers6786
GT7, The Kayak simulator, it's so relaxing. RE4 and 8, Horizon , Madison, Tetris, just a few but they all get me coming back,,whereas my quest 2 is collecting dust, evrnnif I got a quest 3 would not get used as much as my PSVR2. The true blacks adds big time to horror games. Also love Switchback.

I have both and I love both of them but I use my Quest 3 more for media consumption and fitness and I use the PSVR2 for VR games as it’s more immersive because of the headset rumble and adaptive triggers and the Quest 3 is much better as a multi media device as it does much much more than just playing VR games as there’s mixed reality games which are the future of entertainment the only problem with the Quest 3 is the ridiculous battery life
  • @803slimm7
I have both. My personal opinion…you can do more on the Q3 as far as Apps, web browsing, gaming and more. The PSVR2 visuals looks better, but it’s ONLY for gaming at the moment. No apps no web browsing.
  • How do you give 4 checks to the quest and 3 checks to the PSVR and call it a draw? Video got me so lost I can’t find my bedroom
  • @TamarinPamarin
You can use quest stand-alone, for AR and with PC. It is way more versatile.
  • @DT1878
I have both the thing i hate about the psvr2 is the tiny sweet spot with the lenses i feel like i have to constantly adjust the headset to get it in focus wheres the quest seems sharp constantly
  • @Creslin321
Good video. The main deciding point for me is that the Quest 3 is far more of an “open” platform than the PSVR is. The PSVR plays PS5 VR enabled games and that’s it. The quest also has its own game library, but in addition to that it has app lab, side quest, and EVERY game on PCVR if you have a PC. In addition to that even it can act as a huge TV to remote stream any PC game you can play with a game pad. To me, PSVR is good for casual, console only gamers that. But Quest 3 appeals to both enthusiasts and casual users alike.

Just got my Q3 and love it, I have a PSVR 1 and at a later date I plan on upgrading to the PSVR2. I like my PSVR for its sit down and play in small places style. I love the Q3 for its more movement game style like swinging a sword in Wrath of Asgard 2 or throwing an ax, it makes the whole game feel that much real. So got to say they both have a place for me.
  • @shaunsteele4968
What we need now is a tutorial for getting the ps vr 2 hooked up and working for steam.
  • @Trapclapcheese
This video is just what i needed, and happy thanksgiving yall

Now hold on a second. You can take the Quest 3 anywhere and play it wirelessly and without any other device. With PSVR2 you need to be tethered to a PS5, which makes the portability almost non-existent. With Wi-Fi 6 you can also play PCVR on your Quest 3 anywhere in your home at basically the same quality as wired VR, which the PSVR2 obviously can't do. For ease of use, I think the Quest 3 is the very obvious winner here.
  • @ryantownsend6819
The quest 3s standalone ability and strong pc like flexibility makes it a clear winner
  • @74amazing
P4 is a very good wireless pcvr hmd. I would have never bought it for standalone. But if 550€ for a Q3 is too much and you a looking for a wireless pcvr alternative, the p4 is an excellent choice.
