You have to give CZ a lot of credit for helping Colt make the return of the blued Python happen. I am shocked you can get a high polished, deep royal blued finish for only $100 more MSRP than a regular stainless. I stand corrected and was wrong, I thought CZ - Colt would only do a very limited edition, special Custom Shop only run of a blued Python and it would start at least in the $2,000 plus range and we would never see a full regular production blued again. Now, let's hope CZ - Colt adds the blued to the Anaconda, Kodiak, Grizzly and King Cobra series as well.

I would also check for unburned gunpowder underneath the "star ejector", because that causes the cylinder to "bind up" as well....

Have you looked at Missouri Bullet company? They make a Hi-Tek coated lead bullet that will stop your leading problem and they are reasonable priced. I had the same leading problem on a S&W 625 I shoot using lead bullet, when I switched to the Hi-Tec coated bullets my leading problem went away. Love Colt's blueing job on your revolver they can still do it right.

very nice colt python by colt. i usually like stainless but blue is good too.

In my Python, I have been using a low-recoiling 105 gr round made for Cowboy Action events. It has the a Hi-Tek coating, so leading does not seem to be a problem. I am not interested in loading my own cartridges, so I am glad someone makes and sells these.

I love those grips. Never held the new Python but love my old one.

We just picked up a 4” stainless. Thanks for the 586 info.
  • I’ve fired a lot of full wadcutter bullets and they were very accurate with no leading problems ! The 158 grain SWC I fired several thousand of those ! I would shy away from moly coated bullets , the moly builds up and is difficult to remove ! Hunting I used hard cast or jacketed bullets ! Great review , beautiful firearms the blued ones are !

Since they came out blued I want one of those so bad. I had one of The Originals in the early 1980s and it was absolutely a dream gun unfortunately I traded it off for a Model 29 Smith & Wesson. I don't regret it because I absolutely love the Dirty Harry gun however I would love to have a blue Colt Python again😊
  • Did you do something to highlight the lettering it looks kind of pronounced maybe it's just the lighting
  • OMG IS THAT BEAUTIFUL 😍 ❤️, Sense Colt brought the Beautiful Black & Blue Mirror finish back I've been wanting one in 4" , maybe they will do the fire case hardening receiver next . ❤

Those grips are absolutely perfect the fit is incredible you can tell that from your video on them. Sorry I haven't commented on the radio shows last couple weeks I went Home for the first time since I moved here in 2005 was great to see my brother and see my nephews

Get rid of those junk sights and you'll have the perfect firearm. You're well on the way with the Deer Hollow grips. I have a set of those too on my 4 1/2" blued. I went with Wilson gold bead front and Kensight Elliason rear.
