R.I.P James Avery. Miss you Uncle Phill.

"If we so rich? How come we can't afford no ceiling?"
  • @brianbaratheon
I'm so happy Will and Janet worked it out. It wouldn't have been a real reunion without her. Both Aunt Vivs were great, but Janet was my favorite.

"First thing's first rest in peace uncle Phil, for real" 🙏🕊💕
  • Waiting for someone to throw Jazz out the front door... 😂😂😂😂
  • @QTTR0JET
Even though most of the cast was here...still felt empty without uncle phil...RIP.

"Janet held a ground of dignity and authenticity that at 21 years old I didn't see as clearly as I see today" Bravo Will👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Don't ever let anyone tell you that you don't possess emotional maturity.
  • I'm so glad Janet came along. It's really good to see them talk like adults, not judging each other for their actions, understanding each others positions and if not forgiving and forgetting, at least moving on.

Good morals, casting, the writing, and the message. The show was just a masterpiece at every angle. Uncle Phil always supported the characters in a great way in every show
  • @JustLouIt
Breaks my heart that Uncle Phil couldn't be there :(

I watched this reunion. The most emotional parts were when they paid homage to James Avery, and Will and Janet working out their differences. These made me cry. Very mature on both their parts. Because it wouldn't be the same without Janet. She was the best Vivian and I'm glad she came and they had her there. WTG, Will and Janet!

This was legendary. Not ever again in a hundred years will there be another cast like this. Heck, even after 30 years there hasn't been a show that came close. I feel like this show will be watched by humans far in the future and they'd be like "wow, good times."
  • @woodsoncircle
Great to see them back together. Rest in Peace JAMES AVERY.

To me one of the top 5 best scenes, was when Ashley was dancing in her room and Will came in with his hat on and started doing the same dance behind her

You can see on everyone's faces the true happiness of getting back together again. Their reactions were so genuine!

How I wish James Avery was still alive and on this set right now. So sad that you had to leave so soon and so early, I can imagine James Avery throwing jazz out the house till this day, but so sad uncle Phil is not around anymore. We will miss you so much James Avery. So happy fresh prince of bel air will have special place in all are hearts ♥️

30 years it is kind of crazy to think I was just 6 and how much after Fresh Prince still was a big part of my younger life. Fantastic show.
  • I don't really say this often unless I truly mean it, but this is a great example of the term "Black Excellence". They created art that's respected and will live on for generations to come, a show that tackled many issues and showed a black family that lived in wealth. Great to see that they are still in touch and seem to be good friends today (most of them). Also, rest in peace Uncle Phil
  • The final episode aired 9 years before I was born but my dad binge watched the entire series with me when I was 8 or 9 and I loved it.
