Awesome job !!! Coolest thing ever lighting the fire with a freakin Blowtorch !!! 🔥
  • Great video. Great fireplace. Your video will help me a lot to build my own. I have 2 questions. What was your depth of your concrete base/footer? Also when you placed the 2 metal support bars across the top to build the top of the hearth, wasn't the blocks that you placed on it higher than the ones behind it? The metal support bar would of raised the blocks a little bit. I assume it wasnt level. Is this correct?

Very nice! What size is the fireplace? What size was your concrete pad?
  • Awesome work!!! Just bought the plans for the Pima 11. How much was spent on veneer stone ? I’m getting estimates of 1000-1500. Did the plans give sq ft for veneer ?
  • Great Job. I am a do it yourselfer as well and in the process of making one myself. 2 questions... Do you have anything in-between the 2 front angle irons or is it just filled with concrete? The video looks as if you have a metal sheet on top of the fireplace opening under your blocks. Also what size if your flue?
  • Hi there. How long are the steel angle irons? And how many did u used? Beautiful chimney...

One question how far is the top of the fire place exhaust from the top pergola.?

Love this! Did you add firebrick or any special liners to the inside if the chimeney, above the firebox area?

Have you had any issues with the stones over the angle iron? I’m currently adding the stone veneer to a similar style fireplace, and I’m worried about the metal expansion when it gets hot.

My only nitpick: the stones above the fireplace should be horizontal... they just look wrong oriented vertically. Otherwise brilliant, plus it looks like the fam' got involved, so that makes it a lasting family memory. Well done!
  • Would you mind sharing the cost of construction on this? Nice work!! :)

This looks like the Pima II from Backyard Flare. That's the one I'm currently building. I noticed you added the Cap Block on to the 2nd level. Then later added self made concrete seating (which looks great BTW). How did you transition between the concrete seating and bottom of firebox? Is the seating and firebrick thickness the same? thanks!!
