Where were you in 62? Good times, honest music that anyone can understand. Plus tons of talent from all the artists on the records. The top 40 hits was the big thing to listen to the local DJ run them out on your favorite AM radio. Friday and Saturday nights were always special getting off work and picking up that very special lady for a date. Thinking about it, all the ladies were special and they all dressed to the 10s. Being a guy back then was great so much going on. Until the draft board came a knocking and its Army time. Your life stopped and ya left everything behind for 2-3 years. Even the good music changed the so called British Invasion hit. Never understood why. Their music wasn’t as good as the American rock and roll or the rhythm and blues. The Brits seem to copy what American music had already. Not my kind of music we had. Just take a listen to the 50s and early 60s music from here. It’s soooo good compared to the other stuff, yellow submarine didn’t make sense, about drugs I guess. One-man’s opinion .
