I appreciate that you only use brushes in procreate. With a few adjustments, great textures can be achieved. I've learned so much from your tutorials. Thank you.

Yesss so glad to see something from the Tolkien universe! This looks like so much fun 🤩

Thank you for the wonderful reminders that you don't need to work with advanced brushes or a million layers to make good art...though I am still addicted to my layers...
  • Oh my goodness! I have been saving all your videos because I have been so busy, but this one is so dear to my heart. I have to find the time. I just must. Thank you James!

As a colourblind person, I appreciate the way you identify colours by their location in the palette so much! In my own art it doesn’t matter what colours I use - I just go with what looks good to me - but tutorials are usually very difficult and frustrating to follow because although I can’t easily distinguish many of the individual colours in the palette, they vary so much in how bright and vivid they are on the canvas. Your tutorials are among the first that I’ve been able to follow along and confidently stay focused on technique, and end with pieces that I love and feel proud of. I could talk all day about the things I like about your teaching style, but this in particular has genuinely made a huge difference for me. Thank you so much!
  • This is my Sunday routine after ur video upload I open my ipad and drawing along side with you and I'm learning everyday ❤❤

How great it is to see a Lord of the Rings drawing. I have been trying to draw a scene depicted in the book which is the entrance of the Black Captain on his horse through the arch of Minas Tirith gate into the city, Gandalf on his white horse confronting him while soldiers are terrified by their dark foe. I want to draw an expressive section of that scene but cannot go further than the archway..
