Really hoping that this game becomes an amazing work of art, and doesn't die of lawsuits or bad devs.

another good one i literally see nobody talk about. when repairing equipment at the bench, you can press R and it will bring up a menu allowing you to repair all items at the same time and will show you a list of items needed to do so. much quicker than repairing everything individually after a repeat death due to that dumb boss that just wont let you catch it.
  • @EminentChaos
If you want to instant revive a pal you can put them in the viewing cage, you can then put them straight back in your party or palbox.

Idk if it was mentioned but If one of your bases lacks resources to build something, rather than searching for them in your organized chests, consider constructing the item in the base with the necessary resources, then disassemble it to obtain the exact amount needed

You can reset the spoil timer on perishables if you sort your inventory, both on your character and in any storage container.
  • @stonibaloni22
if your struggling with a late game pal you can build a pal box as close to the spawn as possible then if you die you can respawn at that pal box and the pal wont heal the missing health and it will drop agro so you can get the back bonus for catching

If you have the ability to put down a new base, you can use that to always have a make-shift fast-travel point. Just carry the materials for crafting a PalBox. This is great for when you are exploring new areas and want to return to base to drop off materials or repair/restock; then you can just return to the exact spot you left off & dismantle the PalBox.

Attacking with a melee weapon resets the grappling hook too.. a lot faster than equip unequip

14:25 also if you craft/cook the cake instead of storing it in the fridge quick transfer it from your inventory to the chest at the breeding farm. The 20 : 00 duration counter won't tick down while the cake is in there. I just craft all my ingredients into cakes then store the cakes indefinitely. No spoilage. Also you can start the cooking process to grab the ingredients from the fridge and that stops it from spoiling too while it's sitting in the cooker until you feel like grabbing it.

For the Pal Fluid, I usually farm the Gobfins around the Gobfin's turf, there are lots of them, however it's dangerous if underleveled.
  • @CitizenFortress
@7:00 You can also not have to use the grappling hook at all. Just open your inventory, grab your crap ton of item, but don't drop it and don't put it in a chest, just exit out of the inventory menu with your mouse still selected. then walk normally to your chest, open the chest, and put your item in the chest. Works like a charm

For the building one, you only need the wall initially to place the stairs. The wall is not required for support though. After placing the first ground-level stairs, you can delete the wall. The "support" comes from having foundations connected in some manner to whatever you're building. A simple example - make a line of 10 foundations, add a wall between the first/second foundation, add stairs going up to said wall on the first foundation, remove the wall, add 10 more stairs to heaven. If you have a large set of connected foundations, and at least 1 connection going up, you can have a massive nearly floating area, supported by 1 stairway (or 1 wall, or whatever)

The item degradation is a huge one for me. I've been building stone walls slightly outside of the base and was wondering why they disappeared in the morning.
  • @asraiel
If you found a nice flat ground for a base you can build first some foundations and later build the palterminal on it. it also workt on celings. If you want free Ore farm or other ress like sulfer or coal build a base at such a location, add pals that only do mining and voila you got ore grinding automated. since attacking ores is based on attack dmg improofing you pals is benefical for the speed. on Bases my advice is to build the 1. base at a metal location, the 2nd on flat terrain. on the 2nd focus on farming and coocking so you can bring over the produeced high qualety food over to your other bases and dont have to waist palslots there, also does higher foods bring more nutrition and boost the happyness. that way your pals dont waist time by eating for long time or restoring their happyness. more time where they do the work they have to do.
  • Another option if overloaded is Direhowl. Mount him and you can use his Fierce Fang move to jump forward while encumbered. I use him regularly when mining to mine an entire site at once.

more of a tip than anything else: pick a pretty flat area for your base and build foundations all the way out to the edge of your radius. You will end up with a perfectly flat area to work from and having foundation down will stop all environmental spawns so you can totally ignore pals getting stuck on trees or rocks or drowning.

One thing I didn't realize until way late into the game was that certain pals influence the temperature if you have them active. Specifically, I was in the ice mountains and it turned night-time. I was freezing to death and tried to switch to throw out my Kitsun mount to protect me from the cold. But I accidently threw out my Suzaku - and realized the temperature warmed up and I was no-longer freezing.
  • @Autrii
Another tip for cakes is you can buy it from the merchant at the small settlement! All you have to do is focus on honey and if you have an abundance of cash you can buy the other materials needed.
  • @Fizziepop
10 of them. I didn't know 10 of them. I've made it almost to level 40, but this has been very helpful, thank you! Having to get my perishables out of my food bin has been getting more and more frustrating - I even quit putting transporters in my base!
  • @MyPokebros
With Pal breeding, it's so worth on mounts. My Fenglope has Runner, Swift and Nimble for a total of 60% extra movement speed and it's the best thing I've done in this game.
