Seder, well that was a survivor. Lord have mercy. I’ve never heard of someone living through so much, let alone an old man like that. His life is one to be emulated . To be such a good man like that is my dream. Selfless and kind, full of generosity. God bless all folk like him.
  • God kept doctor Seder alive and got him out of there so justice could prevail and others not hurt. He was a beautiful man. Thanks JD 😊

I'm running 120 liters of fruit and sugar wash through the pot still today J.D!, I gotta run all that again tomorrow... smooth up them nasty notes! I know it ain't shine but I am learnt all my tricks from PopCorn and other Appalachian Moonshiners so I figure I am at least a small part of a big story. Love these tales man, you keep it up you hear?
  • Great story!! Thanks for the great compilation and your narration kept me glued to my chair.
  • Hello, JD, and thank you for another rivetting tale. It's hard to comprehend how a 79 man could survive so much torture and pain; what determination to live he surely had. It's good to know the three men were brought to justice. What a waste of a fine philanthropist who clearly had more years ahead of him. Many thanks, from Ruth x

Nothing lower than screwing over someone who is trying to help you

What a legend, the good doctor was determined to survive long enough to see his cowardly attackers held accountable.
  • I lived in Huntington, WV, while I worked for the C&O RR. I have never heard this story before. Thank you for telling me. How he could be so mean to someone who tried to help his, is something I don't understand. Greed has many faces.
  • Oh my goodness. I have recently found your channel. I am from W.V. I thank you more than you know. I have always loved listening to these stories. I haven't heard any since my grandpa passed. I am going blind now that I am the grandma. Thank you so very much for having this channel.
  • A great telling of a little known story. It shouldn’t surprise us that old stories reveal lessons for the present day. The saying “everything old is new again” is a lesson unto itself. Your story telling reveals just that, while delivering a memorable story. Thank you 😊
  • Wow!!!!!!!! What an amazing story! Mr Seder was a tough man indeed! I’ve never heard this but I love it! Mr Seder had true grit!! What a shame he passed away, but in the end, he won after all! Great story JD! Keep up the good work! Blessings always my dear friend! ❤️😊✝️

A brilliant story as ever. Greetings from the North of England

I'm all over that part of WV on a regular basis, and never knew this story. Great job JD.
  • JD that was a tremendous story. God allowed poor Dr. Seder the strength to give witness of who had done this terrible crime.

What a story, so sorry for the Doctor Seder. What suffering he went through. And horrible, evil men.
  • This should be a feature film...my first thought was Sir Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Seder. What an amazing story!
