Here is a video I made to help you be more prepared for the job of replacing the high pressures fuel pump.

It isn’t a step by step how to type of video, but more of a supplement to a video like that.

I have also included the torque specifications for you.

Good luck, thanks for watching, be sure to like and subscribe!

Dude.. you are an absolute gem here. Everything is perfect, you covered sooo many issues. Best clip (even if it didn't fit my issue). Such useful info. Everything he said is legit, wish more YouTube videos were as good. I've been working on "newer" cars for over 20 years and he legit 👌🏼 good video for people

Back in 2016 when I replaced my 2014 N55 HPFP, I wish there was more videos LOL! I did a direct replacement and you can bypass taking the intake manifold off. It's a PITA either way you do it IMO lol. I really wish they would have put this HPFP somewhere more easily accessible. Now I'm having to replace it again and I'm not looking forward to it just because I remember it took me a good day to do it all lol. Anyways, good job. Thought I'd just review other people's video.
  • Hey man I’m replacing mine as well soon, can you tell me what seals and gaskets i would need ? preferably the part #s. I couldn’t tell looking at your video

Great Videos. 2012 BMW X5 N55 Issue: long crank in the morning No sputtering , engine runs smooth. After that first morning start it starts up fine throughout the day. My question is how do I know if I have to replace the High Pressure Fuel Pump or the Low Pressure Fuel Pump? Any advice on what else to check before I tackle the HPFP monster. Thanks again for your time.

Hi thank you for your videos. My car:2012 BMW X5 xdrive35i *I had the long cranking symptom *Disconnected battery. *Changed the HPFP * car immediately started up👍 *then the alerts popped up, engine light , malfunction running at reduced power. * checked fault codes: P0222 , P0111D, P15DF * replaced throttle body. Car now has rough idle . If possible Any advice would really help. Thanks

Is there any way you can do a video on how to test it with a vacuum gauge

Experienced an engine shutdown limp mode on my 2012 X6 35i and I thought it was a faulty integrated supply module, replaced it and still a long crank and no start, that’s what brought me to this video, my next option is to change the HPFP and hope for the best.
  • I'm planning on changing my fuel pump on my n55 m135i 2013, can i just change the pump itself or do i need to change all the other stuff?
