James’ 1986 Toyota Corolla AE86 and Thomas’ 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI are nearing the end of their journey to find enlightenment. Without a final destination in mind, the guys once more trust their instincts, intuition, and their little ‘80’s hatchbacks for the last leg of their adventure. But the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip and the raw inhospitable nature of the Mojave Desert still lies before them. Will the two cars make it to their final destination? Or will they be claimed by the Mojave? We hope you enjoy the final episode of the Road to Enlightenment!

  • The most American moment.
    "We're here Vegas!"
    "Go f@#$ yourself."
    😅
  • James' monologue is absolutely lovely, thank you all for doing what you do :)
  • 40:16 Seeing James tearing up was really touching and was a great display of how much he loves the channel and whatever does. Thus has been an amazing special and I'm happy they decided to do this. I feel like The Road to Enlightenment was accomplished I that moment for him.
  • This is why this channel has become my favorite car channel, no need of high production budgets or actors, just raw originality with authentic personalities and a passion to share with the world. This genuinely feels like the glory days of YouTube, when channels pushed out fun videos to watch, no controversies, no politics, no forced plugs. This is raw entertainment! Thank you Thomas and James, and the Throttle House production team for sharing this adventure with us for free!
  • This proves that next-level stuff can be made on YouTube without compromising authenticity. You guys deserve all the success in the world.
  • I hope there will be more throttle house adventures with other iconic cars
  • “If it means you can find,in this huge world, in this darkness, 5-6 great people to hang out with and spend time with, then that’s everything.”

Damn. Hit me so hard. Thanks for being so real dude. Haven’t found those people yet myself, still fighting the darkness, but this gives me some sense of hope. Your videos/content get me through the dark nights sometimes. Perfect distraction with great cars, comedy, and friendship. Cheers, mate.

Jame's very real moment of reflection and unfiltered appreciation has got me totally choked up! No apology necessary; the expression of gratitude for unexpected great moments of realization is absolutely spot-on! I found you guys during the pandemic amidst the few other entertaining automotive reviewers out there and you guys have consistently produced the greatest consistency of high standard output! James, your humility and genuine good character is the perfect balance to Thomas' precision and high standard! Thank you for the transparency in that very personal moment; it's made me stop and appreciate the joy of life and the little things that bring that joy to the front of my mind!
  • Throttle House may be a small team, but you've had a MASSIVE impact. Seriously, one of, if not THE best automotive entertainment channels there is. Bloody brilliant!
  • Toe Foo ran in 5th gear, without a cooling fan, in the desert, and still made it through like a champ. A testament to Japanese quality.
  • As a fellow motor journalist, James' monologue hit me right in the feels. The gratitude I have for being able to do what I do and somehow call it a job is immense. The people I've met and things I've achieved made 5-year-old me proud, and I haven't done half of what you two have. Keep up the great work, guys. This was phenomenal.
  • I have seen this channel from the beginning to now a family of 2.5M... James is so grateful for what he said in the monolog. Wish you guys all the very best
  • @JoedT
I felt James' words man! You've got to find the right people who share the same passion and aren't just in it for their own ego. Back then, if I had continued to stay around with the people I was with, I would have been a different person all together.
  • @ltjorge16
Honestly James was the most real moment on YouTube! Sometimes as an adult you grow imune to more and more and stuff like this gives you so much to feel. Legends
  • That’s a really good background to end the video. ❤
  • @JRGio
Karston, Daniel, Kevin, Harrison, Gregory & Ben- thank you for helping make this possible. Y'all made it beautiful.
  • @kruuuser
Very few 'Youtubers' make anything worth watching for nearly an hour, never mind 3 parts that long - Excellent work guys - Thank you!
  • This may have had a crap ton of headaches but us viewers cant thank you enough. Keep doing what youre doing. We all love it
  • You guys have that chemistry that cannot be forced and made the Clarkson/May/Hammond combo so successful. You need to keep this up!
