Self Harm scars being visible *TRIGGER WARNING*

I put a TRIGGER WARNING just in case, this is mostly me just talking about my thoughts on having my self-inflicted scars visible when I am wearing a swimsuit or less clothing and fear of being judged. The point isn't to show off my scars, but they are a part of me and I can't just cover them up when I wanna go swimming or to the hot tub or whatever. I don't think I should have to cover them up, EXCEPT maybe if there are children around. Self harm is hard to explain to adults, let alone a child. And I don't want to ruin their image of the world being this perfect place any sooner than I have to.
