WHAT BROUGHT ME TO YOUTUBE: I worked at Goldman Sachs, in Private Equity, and built up a $100M holding company. But after being in Wall Street for so long, I got tired of managing hundreds of millions for the rich. Investing was for the few not the many. F that. You all are the reason I do this. We as a society need to get rich together. My mission is to create 100,000 business owners, I hope you’re one.

So glad Codie mentioned carpet cleaning. I can tell you from experience that carpet cleaning is a service that you can upsell without feeling immoral. Once you're in the customer's residence, you can also offer add-on services, such as up: upholstery cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, drape cleaning, mattress cleaning, water damage restoration, etc. I've been in the game for a minute and can easily make $1000/day if you market and network correctly. Also want to mention that when using professional-grade carpet cleaning solutions/products, there is a bit of science behind it because of pH levels within the product and using on the wrong material. For instance, you don't want to use a non-woolsafe product on a natural fiber. You'll also want to make sure you don't cause any bleeding of colors, especially on rugs. I would recommend getting certified by IICRC. I have no affiliation with them, but I did take the course and became certified in carpet and upholstery cleaning. $300 investment turned into good money since 2007.
  • You may have this in a previous video but as an Airbnb owner and operator I pay my cleaners $60 an hour and I still have trouble keeping good dependable cleaners. I have one that’s excellent so I actually tip him regularly. Starting an Airbnb cleaning company that’s dependable, excellent and understands the time frame of guest check in and check out should be profitable as well.

the best content hands down. thank you for your transparency and clarity.

No one is talking about a window cleaning but me maybe. Worked with an accountant twenty years ago and he said if he started a business would be window cleaning hardly any overhead and start up cost. Tried to convince my husband for the past 10 years to no avail. I forwarded this video to him. Maybe now is the time.
  • Wow, you really do your homework on these businesses! This was so fun to watch, You got yourself a subscriber!
  • Years ago I was in college and did handy man work. My customer was a NYS senator or assemblyman...I under bidded the job big time ( new ) . But I didn't say anything because I was at fault . The customer came to me and said ' you under bidded the job , didn't you ⁉️ ' I said I guess so . He gave me 2 times what I quoted the job for ‼️ As for hiring good working people for physical work, it won't be any American youth, it will be someone who is from another country because of work ethics ❗

Hello Codie, I have found your channel a week ago and it's so inspiring and informative.
  • @CarlosRosario
Codie... your breakdowns are ALWAYS so thorough. You are one of the few women that truly intimidate me (in a good way), lol. Thanks for everything you do, lady. BTW, you have any more super weird niche stuff up your sleeve (kinda like that crime clean up)?

Get a power auger and instal mailboxes. Here in the midwest the snowplow loves to take out your mailbox.or push it over. Granny cant dig a new one. Stuff (tipped over) mailboxes with fliers. Rent a power auger until you make enough to buy one. They are light weight snd can be pulled behind any car with a hitch Good luck!!

I’m definitely going to consider some version of the last one. Really straightforward and always a need.

Even easier than window cleaning and cheaper to start up is bin cleaning. Jet wash and water supply. All you have to do is follow the rubbish truck around. Less than 500 quid to set up. 5 quid per bin. So 20 quid a month per bin. Isnt hard to get 100 bins a week. 20 customers a day. 2k a week. 8k a month.
  • My first time come to Codie's channel.🌟 Codie you are such an inspiration for me. 🌈✨

I know Codie mentioned it as like step 6, but if you are good at sales or even decent you can get people to do this for you and all you have to do is just find the clients and then you can just be the middleman.
  • @ignaciodiaz2513
Great video!!!! It would be super interesting if you do a video of what you told in one part of the video about getting people to work on the small business!...
  • @coachmindy
I cleaned swimming pools in my 20s after a sudden divorce and big move... it was something I could do for an easy 25/hour with little trainng needed. I agree this is a great idea for a starter business. the owner of the company started on his own and eventually scaled. his biggest challenge is keeping staff long-term but its pretty fast to train new workers, so even high turnover isn't that worrisome. insurance is a big deal though -- your workers could cause someone's home to flood if they do something wrong with an indoor pool.
  • @danielskahl
I would love to see a video on finding, screening and hiring employees for a cleaning business.
  • @BizBob2
Good ideas on easy start ups local. Also appreciate the pre sell advice. It's often lacking when talking about start ups.
  • @graceartsgifts
These are amazing business ideas! Ownership does equal freedom. The thing I would add is patience with yourself and others. It may take time to build a business in the right way. ❤😊 God Bless
