Great vid Rex. I might be wrong but I believe those limiter parts are for the rear arms. Im building mine now & looks like for Tamiya's standard build "MR" these limiters are on the rear arms. If your switching setups, in my case im building the "FR" setup. On the 2nd page of the "FR" manual there is a small section that says its recommended to switch wheel positions. For my "FR" setup, I have the limiters installed on the rear arms. Did i do this right?

If I had a nickel every time I used the wrong screw during a build, I'd be the nickel-king of BC! Lol! Great of you to go through this with us Rex. Have an excellent day!
  • @RCBirds
Great and honest video Rex. But in the end I would leave off tbe limiters and dual-rate the steering.

These things happen, at least you found the issue, I am leaving my BT-01 as FR and used M03 stub axles that I had left over from back in the day. These don't have any drive cup to get in the way.

I think steering limiters are kind of silly in general. Like, your EPA can more or less take care of that. Anyway… it’s always fun to have to break the manual back out and humble yourself. Keep it up. Perfect Tamiya platform to introduce the shirt!

Rex, at first I thought you were a dingus but I'm starting to love your channel. Keep it going brother. I'm enjoying your journey and your love for Tamiya cars.

We all make mistakes, Rex, I know I do all the time! Nice shirts, Bro! 😎👌👍
  • @AddamsPlayground
Ooopps! It happens, especially with kits with a lot of similar screw sizes. I have had to back track steps and reclaim the correct screws I used in the wrong steps! The shirts are really cool REX!
  • @lo2713
Great to see you be honest 👍 a lot wouldnt. But i cant see why they would be needed still 🤔 but guess there is a valid reason ? Nice Tee’s aswell 👌
  • @UncleBobsRC
Dude, I thought I was the only one that leaves my Boo-Boo's in a video, LOL... I know, you did this to let people know to keep an eye out... Great video... And good to see you posting again!!!!!!!!!!!
  • @JoevsRc
I definitely have made similar mistakes. And I will make more! I love laughing at myself
  • @xrcadv
love your style and attitude, shirts are also nice!
  • Owning up to mistakes shows strong character. Not that I've ever made that mistake... ever nope well Not since I started typing.... Bought two shirts. White T RWD for outside and a black longsleeve for sleeping. Because I'm definetly awd when I'm sleeping.

Hey Rex once the weight of the car is on the ground it will spin freely usually. Using after market shocks will further allow you to adjust the height of this. Ive just finished making mine 4WD super fun !
  • @MauzyrockRC
Terrific RC sleuthing! Also, I really like the apparel designs. My Subie (1:1) is AWD... Sooooooo. I'll get at ya after April is over 🤟🏻
  • @ChaNnArD-mD
Same thing happened to me with the Super Hotshot I mixed the front and rear axels up "Stupid junk Tamiya! oops no just me...
  • Hi REX. I think those screws are only for a front wheel drive setup, to avoid losing dogbones. I've just removed and tried in mid and front motor with rear drive and works fine. Greetings!!

Heh, my first thought was to check the manual for screw length, as that would be a bit of a lazy oversight by Tamiya :D Seems like a bit of superfluis part tho, if there already is a limiter on the upper arm. Nice shirts too btw :D
