This is what YouTube was made for, thank you!!
  • Since I had to replace my iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) screen / LCD matrix anyway, I thought that I should take advantage of having the iPad open and go ahead and replace the battery. However, after watching the majority of your well produced video, when the screen and battery arrive this Friday from Amazon, I will be returning the battery without opening that box. I have had no problem opening up my iPad, reddy for the screen. Thanks for helping me keep my iPad Pro working for a few more years ... after all, I'm 82 and not sure that I'll need another one!

Apple does NOT want anyone to repair their items. They refuse to do so themselves. As a result, I had some of the same experiences attempting to repair a iPad Pro 9.7 yesterday. I ended up purchasing a Pro 10.5 refurbished with warranty on Amazon. I'm in the service business and repair major appliances including the computer boards. APPLE engineers their products to NOT be repaired. As a matter of fact on the newest phones, they code the individual parts in such as way that if your swap identical parts on identical phones the functionality of both phones will be drastically reduced. An Apple senior advisor told me that I could replace the battery in my iPad pro at the Apple store for $120.00. When I went there they told me they would give me around $50 for my iPad Pro toward a new one for an additional $740.00 After promising me they would replace the battery the people at the store refused. That's what Apple has become. Sleazy

What adhesive did you buy from iFixit? I can't find the correct stuff on the UK store. I was recommended to buy Tesa tape as an alternative buy iFixit support. Unsure what thickness to buy though. Something tells me 1mm as the space looks tight.
