"I never looked at basketball as work. I didn't realize it was work until my first year in the NBA. When I came around, I was surrounded by other professionals and I thought basketball was going to be everything to them and it wasn't. And I was like, 'This is different.' I thought everybody was so obsessive about the game like me. It was like, no? Oh, that's hard work. I get it now."

The purpose of "The Mind of Black Mamba" is to showcase Kobe's mentality and mindset over the years. I was always looking for a video like this but I haven't found any so I had to create one on my own. 8 More parts to go. I'll be releasing them every monday.
  • I'm not really a fan of basketball, but through these videos i came to have such a profound respect and admiration for who Kobe was and what he stood for. He truly was the sort of person who gave it his all. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these amazing videos. I'm sure Kobe would have loved them. I hope, that wherever he and his daughter are, they are resting peacefully.

The obsession is real . Kobe is like Mike. Greatness .

This is the best video I've watched on Kobe's mindset. Without any of the pumped up music... just his words. Thank you so much.

Kobe, You are an inspiration for all who go the extra mile to achieve a goal and never be satisfied until they reach it. You taught a lot of people about what it really means to be a team player and put the team before yourself. Your intelligence both on and off the court should never leave the face of the Earth. Everything you accomplished should not remain silent. I'm sure a lot of people are distraught that you are gone, but I am sure there will be those who will continue your mentality in how you approach new challenges.  You will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace. God Bless.

He loved the sport and went all out. He was truly inspirational but the unfortunate thing, I believe, is that many of us never truly realized how great he was until after his death.
