These OpenAI guys don't give two Fs who they copy or steal from. They intentionally wanted to copy Johansson so they searched for voices that sounded like hers.

FFS why can we never have nice things!?
  • @SAliGhasempouri
It doesn't seem the same to me. Apart from the AI aspect, will anyone who sounds like her be sued if they make a public speech?

I'm all in on Revux. Presales have the highest returns, and this one’s gold.
  • I see Revux doing 50x, maybe even 100x after it goes live on major exchanges.
  • Agreed. It does sound like Scarlett. We are all going to have to tattoo a copyright symbol on our tongues.
  • Anyone else hearing about Qventi? It’s getting a lot of buzz, just like Revux.

Nope it doesnt stop smellin your own farts gurl

In my opinion, OpenAI could have found a talented actress who is not a celebrity with opposing views on AI. In that case, it would have become an inspiring act as well. Another issue that is strange and concerning to me is that privacy laws are increasingly being used to oppose artificial intelligence, rather than spending more time and even promoting understanding of deep learning models. When we understand something, we can better measure or control it. We are losing time!
  • @briantep458
never understood why people found her attractive
  • What utter nonsense … didn’t think Scarlet was that greedy … and to the person who actually did the Sky voiceover … you sound far better than … her :)
  • @zergar5671
I hope they add sky's voice back as an option later. I actually prefer listening to sky rather than scarlett johansson.
  • Shifting my portfolio – heavy on BTC and Revux, with a sprinkle of DOT and ADA.

"nobdoy can produce horror movies but me!!!!" the key issue is what data has been used, also lets not remebmer that anything that is not foribed by law is allowed, if there is no law protecing usage of data for training models, you can take that data and crate MODELS, that is as simple ass data, if there is a law that any data to be used for model training must be bought and licences! then its a different story, also there is over 7 bilion people on the planet, yet voice freequwnciess are the same for all people so there should not be vocie tone rights!! since we all use same feqenciess

Revux is dominating my crypto chats – seems like the next big thing!

So if Scarlet is asked to play the next Black Widow role, and she declines, then the next person in line that gets the part is going to get sued by Scarlet for being too similar? No. She passed on the job, it went to the next voice actress who did a great job on it. The job does not die just because the first person offered, passes on it. She had her shot and she passed, then slapped the job out of the hands of an up and coming actress. Scarlet has absolutely nothing to say about who they hire, what the job entails, or how it is executed. It was not Scarlet's voice, and that is the only claim she might have had.

It's not an "OpenAI voice". It's "Scarlett Johansson's voice that OpenAI appropriated without permission".
