I think that you've made your point clearly and articulately with this quality video - thank you. I saw my first 911 when I was 15 years old. Fast forward 50 years and I've now got my 992 GTS, specced exactly as I wanted it. I'm not worried about depreciation because I won't be around when it gets sold. My kids however might have a different view on the matter.......

Off course you loose money, at least with standard models. But who cares. I don’t like the idea of cars being an investment. Buy the car you want not the one you want sell. It is your dream, so make it real. Do not lock the car away, drive it. That is the only true and rewarding purpose of owning a sports car.

Good analysis, some of the key is to keep it stock as much as possible, try not to add too much mileage but that’s difficult as the driving addiction is so high. Mine is a 992 carrera S with manual transmission.

Facts! 💯💯 Yes. Porsche has gotten crazy with the branding, but the resell is better than everything else….especially after 20 years

I love your video, but i specked my 22 with a sunroof because I enjoy it now and the auto trans rips. I’m not worried about value as a collectible some day. I also have an 85 and paid $70k for it. it does not rip and I love it. No regrets.

Yes of course you will, silly pricing and they have made too many UK dealers have hundreds of them sat there unsold no doubt it's the same in all the other markets, but how the idea that you can spend £100-200k on a sports car and not lose money became a thing I'll never know.

Dealers in Los Angeles are asking over MSRP and/or trade-in or buy another car. I don’t understand. I’m a newly retired registered nurse and not a billionaire. What do you suggest?
