Seeing Jaiden being animated by Piemations feels not only natural, but even as if she had gone back to her original form

The writing on this is great. Even before the plot twist, the humor comes in part from the sheer subversion of the classic imaginary friend trope because of how the 'normal' one is the psycho, in contrast with most media that depicts imaginary friends to be murderous while the child is innocent. Then, it subverts *itself*, when the child does turn out to be the imaginary one, revealing that the initial subversion was a fake-out. Again, amazing writing.
