We love making spiders for Halloween, but they’re always so hard to see in the dark… until now! The game Dungeon Hunter 6 is coming out soon, and features an awesome looking glowing scythe spider, so we decided we’re going to try to bring it to life. For the base of this DIY Halloween decoration, we’re going to use the Jumping Spider animatronic from Spirit Halloween and give it a makeover. Using some techniques that we learned from the world of DIY cosplay, we’ll build his shell and spikes out of EVA foam. Clear Easter eggs were used to create glowing orbs on his back, and clear UV resin made his eyes. We sculpted his details with foam clay and finally painted him with neon fluorescent paint that glows super bright using a UV black light.

We’re in love with how this Halloween animatronic makeover turned out! We took a Spirit Halloween animatronic from a floppy fuzzy spider to a pointy glowing green nightmare. We can’t wait to add him to our Halloween 2023 yard display and scare some unsuspecting trick-or-treaters with it.

Scary Halloween DIY decorations are our jam, so if you want to learn a ton of techniques and get ideas for how to haunt your house or yard, check out the other videos on our channel. We have everything from simple DIY Halloween projects, to animatronic makeovers, to epic original Halloween props. We love to show you how to take Halloween decorations from Spirit Halloween, Home Depot, and Lowes and turn them into one-of-a-kind spooky creations.

Thank you all for your support, and until next time, Stay Wicked!!

A plague doctor would look so good next to it!! (Day 2 of asking for a plague doctor from scratch)

You guys make spirit Halloween's stuff look professional. AMAZING!
  • These guys always do an outstanding redesign on all of their props, and I love all them!
  • @robylove9190
Wow!!! The spider is phenomenal. I know y'all are super busy getting ready for the haunt season. Have a happy labor day ❤

I remember this exact animatronic TRAUMATIZED me as a kid. Ever since I have been terrified of spiders… anyways amazing job as always!

Im not a gamer by any means so I often don't know what y'all are making when it comes to video games or pop culture references, but it never matters! I absolutely love everything you do. Your passion and love comes out in every detail. Amazing job!

I genuinely love so many of the crafts that you guys do, but, as a perpetual apartment dweller, there are so many that I simply can't replicate. It'd be super cool if you guys could do a video on easy, safe ways to makeover props- things that don't involve heat guns, spray paint, wood stain, contact cement, or anything else that needs special ventilation. The kind of stuff that people trapped in small apartments or who are trying to let their kids participate could do. I still love seeing how amazing the stuff can be if you have the space, though!!
  • It helps with alignment if you make registration marks in the pattern when flattening out the 3d shape.

Amazing work! Can’t believe how well this came out 🎉🕷️🕸️
  • @MiiPunchy
You guys really manage to make 30 or so dollar props look like theyre from professional attractions, im in awe! 😮❤
  • @TheCodester_2.0
You guys should do a full sized fnaf animatronic for the movie coming out Oct 29th
  • @psynthpriest
I have had good results making spider eyes and and such by cutting them from plastic bottles and spray painting the inside surface. It's a good reuse of waste, and I bet the same technique could be used for making bubbling liquid surfaces.
  • @GregoryHaynes
Great job with the 3D build from one picture! I noticed the jump scare slowed a bit due to the heavier weight. Still, it's awesome, lights up and it moves! Well done you two! The black-light paint was just perfect.
  • @Smartielew
Just finished watching and y’all always know how to get me in the mood for spooky season ❤️❤️ But the creepy crawling sounds in the background when you were showing the final result gave me chills haha 😂
  • @SidewinderSigns
That came out great, I love it! The fluorescent paint will work a lot better if you put down a bright white base coat first in the areas that you want to be the brightest.
  • @DessahLS
The glowing and florescent effects are so cool, imagine putting a camera filming people get scared by it in the front yard 😂
