Now I understand why she is considered iconic. I can't believe I had never taken the time to listen to Nina Simone since I moved to the US. This has been a significant eye-opener for me. Thank you for sharing

Nina has been my favourite singer since I first discovered her via her Here Comes the Sun album when I was 15 in 1973. I still listen to her almost on a daily basis and I'll soon be 65. I was thrilled to meet her when she performed her last concert in Sydney Australia in 1991.

Her personal life she couldn't help but mix with her career which caused her such heartache but that was Nina. She sure had talent and wrote some great music for us today

Such a disturbing loss when we lose these great geniuses. At my age, having grown up basically, with so much music from 60s and 70s, it is hard saying goodbye knowing their presence will be gone forever.😢🥰💖 life can be a bummer sometimes.
