They should make it where you can play this as long as it’s on your account. Having to run the ps5 just to play is crazy when you traveling.

I think the light bar turns off on the Home Screen on purpose to conserve battery until you play a game that utilizes the light bar and it’ll come on

I use my portal more than the console and TV/monitor itself. It's nice to be able to just walk room to room and play or lay in bed in play without moving any of my consoles. Even took it on a few business trips across the country so that makes the suitcase lighter 😅

My side lights work without being in the settings. I think, I played it last night and I’m sure they were on, or maybe I’m losing it! 😂

If Backbone can create a handheld to where the customer has to pay for a service to play cloud games via Handheld then PlayStation should be able to do the same with the PSPortal. It’s currently only a remote play accessory. Doesn’t mean that PlayStation can’t charge the customers for another subscription. That being said that is probably what they will do in the near future. In doing that the Portal would sell a lot more units.

Hey CKid just to give you a heads up when you power up your PS portal you don’t have to ps button on the sight you can hit the one on the screen.

The lights probably go off because you have them set to off on the PS5 itself

I bought one on Monday but didn't like it it sucks if you have a good wi-fi it gonna freeze and not work it get blurry so I return it back

You don’t need to connect to your ps5 in order to upgrade. You can swipe from the top right as soon as your portal is up.
