  • Cool thing is Casey and her mom sang this just like how this song is a conversation between Ruby and summer
  • @ToastDinosaur
Summer: apologises and tells ruby not to do what she did Ruby: ReD LIkE ROsEs
  • β€œDon’t waste your life in vain” Ruby: πŸ΅πŸ€”πŸ‘Œ

I have never watched a single episode of RWBY, I just think this song slaps.
  • I've never simultaneously cried and excitedly headbanged before listening to this song.
  • @Ellisepha
Welp, this just became relevant again

I noticed that Ruby is the main character and yet we know the least about her. I can't wait till they explain her more
  • @nessie8554
    *rap starts* oxygen:Wait that's illegal
  • Man with the current volume of Rwby, this song is about to become the theme of Ruby’s mental spiral. Poor girl needs a hug.
  • Illya too, for Kiritsugu left her and was left with Heracles. Now I can't unhear the song when Illya and Heracles square off against Gilgamesh. "... and let Kiritsugu's son know.... that my dad can beat up his dad."
  • @marcelo2169
You can really feel Summer's regret and Ruby's pain.
  • @ryanallen5396
I still think team RWBY should have been the ones to face team NDGO... Cause, you know... Red vs. Blue?
  • @JacF6734
β€œDo you ever run out of weapons?!” β€œAfraid not! THAT’S KINDA WHAT I’M ALL ABOUT!!!”
  • @amaeo5170
"I'll show you why they call me TINY MURDER MACHINE!"
  • @ThatAsianGuy68
I like how a song shows more of Ruby's character than the actual show
  • So, This isn’t a song about summer not wanting Ruby to be a huntress, it’s a song about her wanting Ruby to be better. Not following in her footsteps in abandoning her family and friends to fight Salem alone because that path ends in a pointless death and pain?

This song captures my feelings when my mom died. especially the beginning lyrics "All the joy that i had known for all my life, was stripped away from me the minute that you died" When Mom died I felt empty, I even lost the child hood home I grew up in because my aunt couldn't keep up the rent payment. "Can't help that I had taken you for granted" Like most kids I loved my mom, but I don't think I fully appreciated her until she died. "I wasn't dreaming when they told me you were gone , I was wide awake and feeling that they had to be wrong" I at first didn't believe my dad when he said my mom died, I truly thought he was wrong. "How could you leave me when you swore that you would stay" My mom had this stomach disease where she couldn't digest anything, she assured me it wasn't anything fatal. We really thought she was going to get better. The worst part was it wasn't the disease that killed her, her blood pressure dropped severely low when she was in rehab when she was trying to get her strength back. "Would I change it if I could" I thought about what I could do to have avoided her death, I feel like it could have been avoided. She noticed it before it got to the point she was hospitalized. She was a strong, stubborn woman, in the end, i feel like it was that stubborness that killed her. "Now I'm nothing but a liar, and you're thrown into the fray " Mom assured me that her disease wasn't anything fatal, and she turned out to be wrong, we really thought she was going to get better. "And no matter what I do Nothing ever takes the place of you" I still have my Dad, a loving stepmother, a younger stepsister who comes to visit every other weekend, tons of people willing to support me, a great future ahead, and even a new baby sibling on the way. But no matter what, nothing will ever fill the void that she left when she passed away. I can't be the only one who relates to this song, reply how you guys relate, and if you ever lost a loved one.
