Man, its really sad this project is comming to its end. Its one of the best things YouTube has to offer.
  • @oddballsok
you know..the danish empire also was so large that the sun never set. In summer...when it was circling Greenland.
  • My great grandfather fought in the Boer War in South Africa. We still have his cavalry pistol and his gold pocket watch. He suffered from PTSD after coming home to Canada after the war and became an alcoholic; it was a brutal fight.
  • I hope you guys reach the 1 Million Subs before the end, you deserve the golden play button

My Paternal Great Great Grandfather named Albert Edward Sugg was born in January 1880 in east London. He was a Bare-knuckle boxing from the age off 16. He joined the Royal Navy in 1900 aged 20. He married my great great grandmother in 1905 and had my great grandfather named Charles Sugg in 1910 who was also born in east London. In the Great War he served in the Battle of Jutland. He died in 1960 in my home town in Essex.

I've always found the lead-up to war more interesting than the war itself - the countless times conflicts could have been avoided. That's why I really appreciate this channel going into the background of the War.
  • @Ennio444
8:05 - a Prime Minister has NEVER looked so cool. I mean, look at that picture! Even Churchill is in awe of LG's cool demeanour.
  • I love the old buses that can be seen in the backgrounds of some of the films
  • @DarkshadowXD63
Its finally here boys sad this series is coming to a end but all wars have to end eventually
  • @jackkenny6376
This channel is unprecedented and will never be overtaken by a similar show. For that, I hold this to the highest esteem and the Great War to the highest admiration.
  • @WAMTAT
Dude, New Zealand. Don't forget about us. We where subjects too.
  • @CleanerCorn
Assuming it doesn't already exist, can you please do a Germany before WW1 video?
  • Please do a video on the arms race. I feel like its often not mentioned when discussing the start of WWI even though it was very influential in shaping the alliances going into WWI
  • The UK Empire was also impressive because it was not contiguous land. It was connected through the sea.
  • Yet again another excellent video.. I just loved the background episodes about related but not necessarily related situations..

Why go to public school when you can learn online for free? This stuff is amazing
