Chasing Trains on the CP Canadian Mainline Sub - Morning of 6/9/13

Published 2013-06-11
On the morning of June 9, 2013, I headed over to the former Delaware & Hudson, now Canadian Pacific Mainline Subdivision. We start by catching northbound empty oil train 609, with a pair of CP AC44CW's for power, ripping over the jointed rail at Clemons after stopping to set off loaded gasoline cars for the Vermont Rail System at Whitehall Yard. We chase the train north, shooting him again alongside Lake Champlain and Route 22 in Ticonderoga, Bulwagga Drive crossing in Port Henry, and crossing Route 22 just south of Wadhams, NY. 609 met southbound NS freight 930 on the controlled siding at Wadhams, and we head south to shoot 930 at Port Henry, at a location providing some elevation and a view of the lake. We continue south catching him again pounding over the jointed rail at Clemons and at a much slower pace at Comstock.

Thanks for watching!
