For me as a black person, when i see white people or non african people enjoying our songs, feels up with happiness.

Brilliant ... Never seen any cover (by a non African) like this - the energy, passion and emotions poured into every bit of the production was tailored. Goosebumps all over me ... Massive well done guys - more than impressed!!!

I saw Fela perform many times, and I always felt I was watching a musical genius. This group has done a really good job
  • OMG, this was so spirit lifting and enjoyable. You will never think this was performed by Non-Africans. Long live Fela. Let music keep uniting us all. We are just one people.

something really cool & hip is happening in Chile where these young musicians have been bringing real musicianship back by discovering afrobeat roots rebellion music & incorporating it w/indigenous culture & regional concerns---quite inspiring & energetic w/the tony allen style drumming--african & latin percussion---great horn section w/killer solos---nice harmonies---& Fran Ri's awesome voice & stage presence--the best front woman currently on the scene
  • I am impressed. They gave it their own interpretation without deviating so much from the original. Just the thought of doing Fela in itself is a herculean task to undertake, and in my opinion they did justice to the song.

So many positive comments beyond racism (very unusual in these times) make me as happy as this music. Love the dancing too. Fela's spirit conquering the world and uniting people.

"MY name is Fela Anikulapo Kuti I have death In my pouch, you see they can't kill me, I can't die" Fela you are still very much alive in my soul and the world

Newen is a dynamic band that brings fire to AfroBeat...big up to the lead vocals she killed it💕she is full of fire🤗🎉💐
  • Before hearing this beautiful tune, I was perplexed and overwhelmed by the harshness of life. Listening to it reenergizes me and restores my hope. I must say that African music is both spiritual and natural.

Music is music, black as I am. I love what I heard, music transcends race, it is a medium for peace.
  • Nothing and I mean NOTHING brings people together as music. Regardless of whatever definition that may seemingly separate us.
  • This is lovely. The energy is very infectious. Kudos to all the band members especially the lead singer and the guy on the keyboard. They were all taken over by the spirit of African beat described by Fela as " The Underground Spiritual Game"
