LYRICS:
Waiting for the end. Just a stitch away.
The nail marks on the walls, one for every day.
You’re cold and weak, alone. No one’s coming for you.
Fear has taken hold. Nothing left to do but

Starve and bleed and rot in this morbid fable.
No way out but death and the sewing table.
Some got shot and some were decapitated-
Some saw their hope be evaporated…

And if you think you’ve seen your nightmares come to life,
You better prepare for the day they do.
Humanity’s a poison that’ll cut you like a knife.
But this nightmare you’ve been dreaming
Wasn’t meant for two.

Take my hand and don’t look behind you,
Cause we can’t go back. I won’t let your demons find you.
Rusty teeth. A field full of bloody smiles…
Guts and grime congealed into gory piles…

Dead limbs sway… The crack of a hunting rifle-
No one gets away. Hold your breath or life’ll
End right here. A stain where your heart was beating-
A prayer you’ll lie there and die repeating…

Your little nightmares won’t stay shackled to the night,
So kill your dreams, or they’ll come true.
These foul machinations won’t go down without a fight,
But the horror that you’re facing…
Wasn’t meant for two.

The world’s but a stage and we’re puppets on a string.
The pawns left to die tend to turn on the king.
Through pain, we survive, and chaos, we learn
To stand by and watch the world burn.

Frozen in a dream. Not a soul can wake you.
Bury every scream, lest the nightmares take you.
Hear the siren call Viewers put their hope in!
One by one they fall— eyes shut, blank faces open.

Shadows reign a world left to eat itself.
A pale gray train. The nightmare repeats itself.
A tall, thin man appears from a premonition.
All eyes and ears trapped by his transmission.

You can’t outrun the very shadows you create—
The enemy you always knew.
And if you hide, they’ll find you, so it’s time to change your fate,
But the ending of the story
Wasn’t meant for two.

That teacher is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen in video games, and the fact that you guys replicated it so seamlessly terrifies me.
  • @coffeejellyash
No one: Six at the end of the game: "Long live the king"
  • "The horror that your facing, wasn't meant for two~" Yeah your right, it was meant for six
  • @Karak-_-
The ending still breaks my heart, damm those self-causing time loops.
  • @bzao1944
Mono: smashes the music box so Six goes back to normal Six: And I took that personally
  • That was some of the best foreshadowing I've seen, the song was saying the ending the whole time! I know the game by heart and I still didn't catch that foreshadowing so props to random encounters.
  • @bloodybee3553
I thought this was gonna be a duet, but it's actually kind of fitting that Mono doesn't sing/speak here. No matter who you play as, Six is the center of the story. It's all about her
  • @anniewalker8850
Melon 1: Fun little escape room Melon 2: CHAOS, DEATH, BETRAYAL
  • @Arisorio
The fact that you basically recreated the entire game in musical form is amazing!
  • @cupcakecat1196
This song will either be hilarious or make me cry. Edit: It was a bit of both :,)

I've held off on looking through the comments on this one because I knew they would infuriate me. Sure enough, negative comments abound. Regarding accuracy to the game, particularly the ending: It's called artistic liberty. Literally none of RE's musicals have been 100% accurate to the game they represent. It's not that they got the details wrong; it's that they chose to present it in a different manner. It's the same reason that movies based on books are never exactly the same as the book that they're based on. Some decisions are made based on what's physically possible; in the case of the ending, filming it the way that they did made the green screen editing exponentially easier. "Ah, 'easier' you say! That means they took a shortcut and quality diminished!" Guys. Random Encounters is a team of THREE people, producing a musical every month, on a limited budget. Two of those three people trained in FILM, not animation, and the third doesn't have training in either. The amount of work that they crammed into 2 weeks between filming, tearing down sets, building new sets, editing all the green screen (which was obviously ABUNDANT in this musical), buying/making props travelling to locations to film... If you think the quality of work here was "lackluster" or "shoddy", then that's because you're used to Hollywood films that would have had a credits list of a team of 30-50 people for a project of this size. All of that work, and one week later, only ten percent of their subscribers have viewed it. While some of the comments DO appreciate their hard work on this musical, those only make up about 5-10% of the comments. Meanwhile, the majority of the comments are just "I want to see __ made into a musical." Can you take a moment and just appreciate this one before you start making demands for another project?

Gwen's voice has come so far, songs like this really show off her vocals!
  • Game developer: Releases game Random Encounters: We have been summoned. It's time to sing guys!!!!!
  • @CBLOfficial
The foreshadowing here is both subtle, and hits you in the face like a brick. As someone who is an English nerd, I love it!
  • Six at the end really said "This is why you don't trust anyone Mono."
  • @_.4ng13._
No one: Six:fights with a crayola crayon
  • @ic0n1cxx
Explaining the characters Mono: trying to survive being a good friend Six: acting nice and basically betrays mono Creepy teacher: tries killing them both Messed up but we love it
  • @spedsaturn
