Anbernic RG556 Review - What Nobody told you about it

How do you change the analog sticks?

Im very happy with RG556, And i was very impressed when i got Ninja Gaiden Segma switch version to run perfectly at 60 fps 🤯

I don't even know where to begin on how much I love the RG556. Such a budget friendly beast! It's the perfect size, with a perfect control layout and amazing AMOLED screen. I'm not fluid in customizing so I picked up the black variant pre loaded with over 4400 games. Then I picked up a 480 PS2 game SD card from AliExpress which never leaves the device. Add all the GooglePlay downloads and my RG556 is completely stacked with so many awesome games. The PS2 emulation is fantastic. Playing my all time PS2 favorites like Contra; Shattered Soldier and MOH; Frontline again on the RG556 is a dream come true!

Hey guys, I just got my rg556 and I seem to be having an issue with the triggers. For whatever reason the console thinks that when the triggers aren’t being pressed that they are being pressed. For games like Zelda you need to press the trigger to target lock enemies but right now with how the console is operating I need to hold down the trigger just so that link isn’t constantly target locking everything. Any fix ?

Did you figure out a way to use hdmi out and charge the device at the same time? I’ve seen people are having problems trying to do that

The analog sticks issue has to be intentional. Whoever is doing it, clearly only tests with 2d emulated games and doesn't realize the device can do much more.

Thanks for sharing the best shaders for this screen (5.5" 1080p amoled)! I was searching on google and reddit on the best shaders that would look nice on this screen, but popular shaders that worked on the common 640x480 screens or 720p/4k shaders that worked for LCD screens don't look nice on this 5.5" 1080p amoled. Really apt video title about "what nobody told you about it"!

if you rotate the device does the emulators scroll as well? prop up for a quick tate mode?

PLEASE, what is the name of the dock that works by charging and transmitting the screen? Ambernic themselves said it wasn't possible on the official website, so even they didn't know it was just compatibility.

Recently had mine delivered and the left speaker is dead. Seems to be quite a few reports of this over on Reddit. I’ve created a ticket with Anbernic but they haven’t replied yet. I’m thinking if I’ve got to open it up to replace the speaker, I may as well get the thumbsticks changed as well 🤷‍♂️
