Welcome to another devlog for Dauphin! In this episode I bring you along with me over the course of a weekend as I kick off an effort to improve Dauphin's main UI and make it more pixel-perfect. Hope you enjoy!

  • I found that the greatest value I get from your videos is the calm vibe. You're inviting me to take my time, relax, and your progress still remains impressive. Lean into this tranquilness, never stop. Thank you.
  • @Aarimous
I'd love to see more Dauphin Deep Dives! As a fellow Godoter they will help a ton. I also appreciate your honesty about burn out and time management. I too am struggling to find this sort balance. Congrats on the new role!
  • @iamkingaimz
Love the progress of your game thus far. Also love your computer set up. Keep up the great work. Bless. 🙂🙏
  • @paratroid
Really like the idea of having separate videos for the deep dive topics! I'm looking at Godot as a potential game engine to use, so seeing from a technical perspective how you've been using it and the challenges you've solved sounds really interesting
  • @Hovrawl
I am super excited about your new view structure, the technical dives are always valuable to me and I enjoy them for sure, but having them come out separately to the Dev Log can mean more content between or easier visibility of the tutorial/deep dives. The Dev Logs are still effectively the same vibe which is super important about your content; it is such a great and relaxing time to watch. Keep up the excellent work mate.
  • Thank you for being straight with us! I am glad you shared the reason for the slower content, and the idea of a “deep dive” series would be awesome! I won’t watch that series since I am here for the game and not for the code, which is why I think it’s brilliant
  • @boxbrain
The UI looks really nice! I also love your desk aquarium--that's so cool!
  • @Paryszek
Very good progress! I appreciate how you introduce as most customization as possible for the player even for simple fishing rot.
  • @GamesBySaul
Fantastic work as always! It's definitely hard balancing devlogs/game Dev when you have a full time job, not to mention a puppy. So this video felt very insightful. Looking forward to more but only when you have the time!
  • @Zettabit7
Nice work. Looking forward to the future devlogs and deep dives.
  • Loving the new format! Congrats on the new role. Keep it up!
  • Keep up the amazing work, i really enjoy these and i'm glad you are finding balance in the middle of a busy schedule and responsibilities đź’Ş
  • @DonRawling
Awesome stuff! As a fellow hobbiest gamedev working in tech, it's great to hear you talk about managing your mental health and avoiding burnout. Really looking forward to playing Dauphin one day :)
  • @Krevz
Great video, the new icons look so much better, good luck in your new role!
  • @Grimm-hb7ek
I really like the new approach to the devlogs, this one really kept me hooked
  • @AdmiralBeslan
Loving hearing you're managing to balance your three jobs(?), amazingly healthy attitude and I love seeing the progress you're making! (In Dauphin and in real life!)
  • @NikoRescueZoo
I actually liked the fact that it was a good mix of the technical and a more general overview of everything going on. For me, it was the combination of both that created a nice flow. But it's not a bad idea for the deep dive also.
  • @CarlosRodela
Totally understand that having to reclaim time somewhere, thing! Just started working at a FT gig that is also creative and uses not only my analytical brain but my creative one. That's the part I need to make my weird comedy videos. So yeah, just now slowly getting back to finding that mindspace to do them again. so totally get your sitch and also digging the game - will mention it on my podcast too!
  • @Syeno
Your time management is something i find very impressive. I look up to you in that way, and hope to become better with mine.
