It's so crazy to see the stick technique. That's what I called it in high school back in like 2003 or something. A bunch of us used to do graffiti for s** and giggles. I used to draw exactly what I wanted to see... But I could never get the shape quite right. So I came up with this thing that reminded me of stick figures. Pretty much exactly what you're seeing here. When using this method, you can really nail the overall shape of your piece flawlessly. I didn't do it because it was the best way or even because it was smart... I literally just did it because I was trying to come up with a way to put training wheels on my art. You start with your stick figure or in this case letter, don't make it normal. Make it look crazy but still legible to a degree. Thicken it up. Add your flares, doodads and whatchamacallits LOL. When I graduated high school I became a graphic designer. I literally still use this method when doing logos, even if it's a super clean serif type font. All my logos are hand lettered
