She is comparing herself with her 16 year-old self. so she’s not saying all teenagers look like that. I’m in high school some teenagers look like They’re in the 20s some teenagers look like they are in middle school. She’s not saying all teenagers in average.

As someone who also looks younger than I am, I get the struggle. Yes, it’s advantageous in some ways, but having someone be surprised that I’m old enough to drive is not what you want to hear when you’re old enough to drink.

I’m 32 and people think I’m 20-24 and it’s not cool. I have to tell people my age so they’ll treat me like a woman and not a dumb, naive, and foolish little girl. As SOON as I say it everything changes. Their tone, the conversation, the respect etc etc. If I don’t bring it up I get brushed off like I don’t know what I’m talking about and usually hit on in the most disgustingly blatant ways. It’s wild to see how men AND women treat women based on what they THINK their age is.

Yes girl, ride that "still look the same as when I was 16 yrs old wave" for as long as you can. I did and I really miss looking younger now. Eat life now while you're young, beautiful and full of energy and promise and you will never regret it.

Zenday doesn’t look 16 either, but Hollywood likes to hyper sexualize what a teenager, especially girl, should look like. That’s not to say at all she’s not beautiful or youthful looking, but she’s not 16 looking. She’s far more womanly than a child.

Reminds me of Di Caprio's answer to a similar question :). He basically said he'd simply enjoy playing the young attractive role while he can play the part, and as he grows older he'll enjoy the rest of the roles life has to offer. He said he'd planned on acting for a long time so he wouldn't worry too much about it
