Sakura is truly an inspiration. Her dance was severely lacking and what got her noticed was her expression and idol presence. During her AKB years, she was very young yet the priority of the group was to entertain the fans. There’s no need to do advanced choreography, just simple ones, not even focused on being synched. She did that for almost a decade before venturing out of her country and try to pursue other areas, to which she did, won a place. In her IZONE years, probably there’s so many girls so the trainers can’t develop her dance skills to their full potential. She was almost guaranteed to worst one in the group, just behind Hyewon. When the group disbanded and she was invited to LESSERAFIM, i’m sure many didn’t set much expectations for her, yet she improved so tremendously it deserves praise. It’s inspiring. It’s a definition of an idol.
