RIP Akira Toriyama, thank you so much for creating one of the most iconic manga and anime of all time.
  • @Sonikspyder26
I can't believe Goku and Superman are going for a third round. Actually, knowing Goku, I can totally believe it.
  • @avifewardana6096
other death battle " i wanna kill you" " no, I wanna kill you" meanwhile Superman and Goku Goku : hey, wanna spar until we die? don't worry we can use dragon ball later Superman : good idea
  • @nitrodx5578
Goku's final kamehameha felt so much powerful after Akira's passing for some reason. RIP legend, you'll be missed.
  • @bernkastel7438
That ending was actually really wholesome and sweet, definitely shows more respect to both characters.
  • @Xoras93
the way goku said "finally" because he was happy superman is reaching his full potential only shows how genuine and fair goku is. i love how pure he is
  • Thank you Toriyama, Shuster, and Siegal for creating the greatest heroes of all time.... RIP Legends.
  • "Truth and Justice has no better champion than the Man of Steel!" I'm not crying, you're crying.
  • @bbott137
I don't care who you're a fan of, but Supes and Goku would 100% be friends and train together if they were in the same universe.
  • @stephen51991
"I'll be stronger next time." "Looking forward to it." This right here is why I like this version of the matchup more than any other. It gives both characters the respect they deserve.
  • Whether you're a Superman or Goku fan, I just wanna say Thank you Joe Schuster and Akira Toriyama for shaping my childhood. RIP, you two legends. 😭
  • death battle has forever made me head cannon the fact that superman and goku are genuinely besties that train with each other every week and grab a drink after
  • @HolyCrepe
no matter the outcome, goku and supes not being mean to each other + that wholesome ending is the kind of characterization missing from their previous fight and it's highly appreciated
  • @SkulloMad
"Thanks my mom made it for me" is literally Superman's entire character My man is just a bastion of absolute wholesome energy
  • @TheoZaHero
Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. I hope you, Jerry Siegel, and Joe Shuster are all creating amazing stories up there in heaven for eternity. 💞🇺🇸🦸🏽‍♂️🚀🇯🇵🥋🐉

First Rooster Teeth shuts down and now Akira Toriyama died? Damn 2024 is not looking good ....
  • @youmadbro9622
Fun Fact: In a single frame where Goku and Superman are going at it while Goku is in UI mode, the two are having a rock, paper, scissors battle.
  • @SatoXIII
Superman really hit Goku with that "stand proud, you are strong" 😭

25:40 - Boomstick's quote here is honestly the most perfect summary of why I watch Death Battle, and the entire point of Death Battle as a whole - it's fun. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they get it wrong, but it's fun to analyze these different characters, fun to throw them into matrchups, fun to watch these fights. I've long since given up hoping that Death Battle will always get it right, but I'll never stop watching simply because it IS fun. It's that same sense you got as a kid, smashing action figures together, but on a much grander scale. Honestly, the winner here isn't Goku or Superman, it's us, the viewers.
