I don't have a homestead, I don't even own a home. I don't prep my meals, or have a big family. And yet, I absolutely love love love these videos. I've been watching them to destress and I adore the way you speak to your audience and explain everything. This is great!

My late husband was an avid hunter and id make about 3 dozen breakfast burritos for him to take and share with the men that went with him. I used roasted potatoes, onion, red and green bell pepper, eggs and cheese. Id individually double wrap each burrito in foil and all he had to do was put them in a large frying pan with a lid and heat them slowly as they sat by the fire sipping their coffee or hot chocolate in the mornings. The men with him raved about those breakfast burritos complaining that their wives refused to go to "all the trouble" of making them..lol.. The morning the men left, i got up at 3am to cook blueberry pancakes with bacon and sausage to send them off for their long drive ahead.. I loved doing that for my late husband and miss it very much..❤

I was watching one of your videos the last time my elderly mother- in-law came to stay with us. She got hooked. Every day she would ask, "What's our girl Becky doing?". Your place and your garden are a dream and you are a wonder woman. Thanks for taking us along for the ride and for educating us in an interesting way. I just canned my first batch of jalapenos and hot banana peppers. I have my fingers crossed that I did everything right. Last night my hubby asked me how many freezers you had. He thinks we need at least one more. LOL

What I love about Becky is that she is all over the place, making a mess, dropping stuff, forgetting stuff JUST LIKE NORMAL MUM. All the stuff you see these days is so perfect and definitely not realistic, particularly if you have any children. It’s good to watch you and know that we are all normal, I think that’s one reason you are so popular 😊😊😊

Becky, it's an idea to use parchment paper to wrap your burritos... They will freeze beautifully, actually be easier to reheat (saran wrap kind of melts in the microwave), keeps plastic chemicals out of your food when reheating, helps the planet, etc... ❤
  • 2am in Australia and insomnia strikes= Becky to the rescue 🤗❤️👌

I watch a lot of yr videos 2, 3 or 4 times. I just enjoy them and I learn so much. I made tomatoe soup from scratch tonight and my husband and son said it was better then any soup they have ever eaten including in a restaurant. Its all because of you. Thanks Becky. I was so proud of myself tonight and you did that xx

Hey Becky. I was making pancakes this morning. The same recipe I've used for 50 years. Except today I forgot the measurements! I couldn't believe how confused I felt. I've just realised what I'd done. I'd doubled the recipe without thinking about it! You, Becky have reprogrammed my baking brain😂. I did wonder why there were so many pancakes. Enough for another couple of breakfasts in the freezer too❤
  • "A little extra cheese never hurt anyone." Words to live by. 🤣😍

Becky, I have a bacon ends trick to share with you. I buy a lot of bacon ends from a local butcher. I pulse the big chunky ones in the food processor and then freeze them in small portions. I render those off as the base for a soup or veggie casserole type dishes. Even if I don't add any other meat it makes it rich and complex. I think this might be an Italian truck, made Midwestern! It is delicious.

I love watching you direct the symphony of food prep! I am 77 and love to cook. I used a lot of your techniques when all the kids were home. It's so much fun to watch you and it brings back so many wonderful memories. It's not much of a challenge now, unless all 12 of the GRANDs show up. Then it's crazy, busy and fun!! I'm watching, because it's never too late to learn!😊❤
  • I love how the potatoes go straight to the floor for the dogs. Becky has talked about her dogs cleaning up the floor for her before, but I don't think I recall seeing it happen before.... and this was captured so nicely. Her dogs are so pretty

I get good ideas from you. I live alone, and I work full time 3rd shift. When I cook, you’d think I’m cooking for a crowd. I make good use of my freezer. I usually have a variety of frozen meals to grab for work. Sometimes meatloaf and mashed potatoes, homemade deep dish pizza, baked beans, chicken tenders, applesauce, and more.
  • @beth4059
Just an FYI—Snap the parsley at the base of the stem which tells it to send out new growth and your plants will be very full all the way up to winter.
  • I live alone. I love meatloaf but not so big on leftovers. I make a big double batch of meatloaf and make "meatbombs" in my muffin tins. I simply spray the Pans with cooking spray then scoop the mixture into muffin tins. I freeze this and once frozen I pop into freezer bags. I can pop a couple in the oven... fix a side and dinner is done!
  • Oven-baking the meatballs YES! I’ve discovered 1/4 cup beef broth in bottom of pan is a Game Changer
  • Love your videos! I just wanted to share a couple of tidbits. I have discovered that I can use my Kitchen Aid mixer with the dough hook to mix ingredients for meatloaf, sausage balls, etc. Makes is so much easier, faster, less mess! Also, for those of us who live alone, a lot of recipes like casseroles, pastas, quiche, etc can be frozen in single serving glass containers...so easy to pull out of the freezer and pop it in the oven. When I make quiche or cornbread, I always cook it in muffin pans so I can freeze in a large zip-lock and pull out only one or two at a time.
