I love the new shutter colour. The blue shouts whereas the soft green/sage sings in harmony with the rest of the exterior. Thank you for showing us your visit to F and B. Good luck with the preparations for the new season.

Aside from the astonishingly beautiful chateau and grounds- I continue to be so impressed by your methodical and considered steps towards your renovations. I have so much respect for the way you are thinking everything through with so much respect for your stunning home. Nothing is slapdash or a quick fix. You have very creative insights that are paired with intelligence and planning. I truly look forward to your vlogs. You've really raised the bar for other chateau owners and influencers. Thank you!

Your Maman has got a big heart, a beautiful and kind heart. It comes through when she talks to you and to us, at the end of the video. She values the people who have played (past and present) a role in her life. She is the glue that holds everything together …. Which is the true role of a mother.
  • I was team blue pop until you put the Vitty green up against the walls of the château, and then I saw what you saw. The way it compliments the nuances of the wall colors, and allows the plants to shine, it is a really good choice, that Samantha knows what she's doing! Thank you for another wonderful video.

With all the colors available Samantha was able to pick the perfect color to highlight the beautiful chateau stone. Vitty green for the win.

The color for the shutters is perfect!! For all the right reasons, being more subtle and where is blends in with the hues of the stone And nature!! Much less of a distraction to the architectural elements in comparison to the existing blue!! Bravo!!

I so love this family, as a viewer of this channel, they are so real, loving, artistic, caring, and appreciate how they share their chateau and France experience. Muchas gracias de verdad.

Am so glad the blue shutters will be green. It looks fabulous. It seems like so many chateau’s have blue shutters and it shouts out so you notice nothing else. Going back to the historical colors is the way to go for sure. It will be beautiful.
  • Don’t listen to the haters, the green is so much more elegant! I think some viewers may like the blue because it pops on camera, but I could see it being way too overwhelming in person and incongruous with the rest of the facade. Also, once again, y’all are proving to be the most well-organized group in the Chateauverse. Your professionalism is really starting to pay off! I love how you are not afraid to employ experts to help you through some of the decision-making, even when you feel confident in your own skills. You just have to if you want a big project to move forward!

The vity green doesnt overpower the stone walls , it lets you see them beautifully ! 🥰

Oh I hated for this to come to an end -- beautiful place and people and beautiful editing. So much food and beauty for thought!
  • Loving the green color! It doesn’t compete with the surrounding spaces. It only enhances the natural beauty of the chateau. Great job ladies!
  • I love the new color of the shutters, doors & windows against the stone. It does bring attention to the Chateau and not the windows & doors. Just beautiful ❤
  • The colour choice you chose is excellent for the windows and shutters. It’s an accent colour that brings out the château at first glance instead of having the windows and shutters pop up at you at first glance. It’s nice to have a colour consultant as experienced as her but it’s very important you choose what you love. I love the soft colours of Bridgerton decor, or Marie Antoinette movie. Excellent choices to reference from. Enjoy the process it’s not about the getting there it’s about the journey, so don’t stress out.💝 Enjoy your new season of upcoming workshops. It’s lovely to hear that you continue your connections with the life you had in the US. Thank you for allowing us to meet your family and friends. Lots of love and successful ventures from Vancouver.🇨🇦

Oh my goodness! Big Comfy Couch was my daughter’s favourite show when she was little.

I alway hate to see these videos end! And this was no exception. So delightful to watch you going through the color process. I’d be so confused after six hours at Farrow and Ball—sound like you have a superb consultant there with Samantha. Love that you involved everyone in the household in the video AND introduced your long-time friends/ houseguests. Best wishes as you move into the season!!

So wonderful that you are working with the professionals for your chateau !!!

Being an architect and historic preservationist, I used Farrow & Ball paint in all of my personal houses in the US. I'm also using Farrow & Ball in the restoration of my house here in the south of France. Bonne chance with your choices.
