Is apple cider vinegar safe to use on hair? Yes! Not only can you use apple cider vinegar on your hair, but it also has a lot of benefits to support healthy hair.

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has many benefits when used internally or externally. Healthy digestion and healthy blood sugar levels are just a few of the many potential health benefits of apple cider vinegar.

Using apple cider vinegar for your hair can do several things, including:
• Restoring the pH of your scalp
• Giving your hair a nice shine
• Cleaning up some of the residue left by shampoos and conditioners

As a side note, I recommend getting a filter that can pull out chlorine and fluoride from your water. They are halogens, which can react with your skin and cause conditions like acne and damage your hair.

You don’t want to apply apple cider vinegar directly in its normal concentration. Instead, dilute one tablespoon in sixteen ounces of water. Use it as a rinse after shampoo and conditioner, but don’t let it sit on your hair. Do this about once or twice per week.

I think you’ll notice a huge difference in the quality of your hair! Go ahead and give this a try so you, too, can experience the benefits of apple cider vinegar for your hair.

I've learnt more from YouTube than I did in Secondary School and University combined.

My mom was very wise! When I was a child, back in the 50s/60s, she had me rinse my hair with ACV mixed with water. I got away from it as an adult. But this past year, I have started to use it again. At 65, my hair is thick and healthy.

My mom's hair was falling out and my scalp was itchy. Both of us have seen a great difference since we started to use just ACV and no shampoo. However, I was told that my hair stunk (someone got real close in a hug). LOL So I prayed and felt I needed to find out how to get rid of the smell, even after rinsing very well. I found out why.....I wasn't diluting it! I was using it pure. Live and learn. Thank You Lord! And thanks Dr. Berg.
  • I wish you could do more videos about hair, you’re the person I trust the most on the internet
  • I use ACV straight after shampooing, let sit for a few minutes, then rinse with distilled water 2x week. Resolved dandruff and itchy scalp early on. Been doing this for nearly 10 years. I'm 66 years old with few gray hairs. Works wonders for me. I also drink ACV with juiced lemon in 12 oz distilled water every evening.
  • I have tried using Apple Cider Vinegar in my hair since I saw this video a few weeks ago. Wow, it has made a huge difference! My hair feel lighter in weight, has more curl, and is brighter and shinier, and even easier to brush! What a beautiful difference. My hair is long and since I started using this, I was in a store recently and a man said, "don't ever cut your hair because it is beautiful." First random compliment I have gotten on my hair in a long time! And yes, just using it once per week is great!

Apple cider vinegar rinse is big in the natural afro hair community. It also helps with closing the cuticles with those who have highly porous hair.

it is very common to use ACV as a dandruff treatment in Arabic countries... it's amazing better than any shampoo but it should be diluted in water as Dr.Berg said 👏

My hair gets sooo soft after I use ACV I love it. Go organic people!!

I use a cap full of ACV with a squirt of avocado oil and I put it on my scalp. I leave it in for awhile. I've noticed it works better that way.

I really appreciate, not only your pearls of wisdom, but equally that you are always short and to the point.

I use ACV mixed with distilled water after I shampoo and before I deep condition. Mix one part vinegar to 5 or 10 parts water depending on how hard your water is, spray all over and apply to scalp as well and work through the hair, and let sit for 5 mins. Rinse and deep condition. If you have curly hair, you will be amazed at how bouncy your curls will be 🤗
  • Vinegar was used on Shirley Temple's hair to keep her curls fluffy and tightly curled.

I’ve been using this solution in a spray bottle as a conditioner. My hair is soft and my scalp no longer itches
  • My German mother always rinsed our hair with water and vinegar ! The shine on the hair could blind you, lol.
  • I do this once a month and I absolutely love it! I switched to all organic ingredients in everything I use on my body and put in my body. Holy cow! I haven't even really started workout out and that alone has dropped me 10lbs and I look and feel amazing! Better then I did in my 20s
  • I haven't washed my hair with shampoo for 8 years. I only rinse it with diluted ACV 1-2 times a month. 40% 5% ACV and 60% water. And zero hair products. It does not smell, not even of "hair". The ACV removes any odor, leaving the hair with a faint fruity scent. So I've used quite the larger amount of ACV with no problems. I do not like to use it as "aftershave", but it does a fine job at that as well. Do you ever smell, like under your arms and can't seem to get rid of the BO? Add some diluted ACV under your arms(IT WILL BURN, first time), for a min, rinse, wash, BO gone. You can also clean carpets with ACV, wash your floors with it, fabric softener and odor remover, quite a lot of good uses. Just.....remember you have to dilute it. The Vinegar odor evaporates within 10-15mins, if you dilute it. If you use full strength, your carpet might smell like vinegar. Now back to by hair: I went to the hairdresser for the first time in 6 years, 2 years ago. She had never seen hair as nice as mine, so strong and long and even had an incredible stretch to it, such a clean scalp and was amazed I only used diluted ACV. She had heard of this, but not seen it in person. My hairdresser could not understand why I had no split ends/tips either, was this due to the ACV? The other hairdressers came over and had to look at my hair, hold it, feel it.....and one of them joked if this came out, the shampoo business would go under. Initial "problems" will last about 1 month, you'll have bad hair days for a month. But then the 'body' starts to build up, and in 6 months you'll have thick lovely '70's hair. Edit for the odd spacing Youtube now makes in comments.

I would say I lost so much hair because of how itchy my scalp was but then my mom told me to apply apple cider vinegar with water on my scalp 2 a week and here was the surprise after I use it every single time I notice tons of dandruff falling out of my scalp which was the cause of the hair loss also my scalp isn’t itchy anymore and it feels cleaner and fresher
