22:30 right here. When you watch the beginning of the the last of us, and fast forward to this moment. This parallel b/w his biological daughter Sara who was killed and Ellie. This second chance when he called her “baby girl” is why the majority of the fanbase will love Joel. Because of the heartfelt journey we’ve been through with him

now I get to see Abby's dad getting killed by Joel again, in high quality, and I am enjoying every second of it

I'm surprised Joel was just a smuggler, he knew a great interrogation method, was great with basically any weapon he picked up along with being good at hand-to-hand combat, and despite being well past his prime he could overpower just about anyone he came across. Not to mention he was also incredibly smart or at least street smart seeing past most traps because of his experience. Honestly I thought he would some high end mercenary but I guess he had to be a smuggler for the plot. edit: oh ya and he has stupidly high durability.

16:15 I don't expect a straight adaptation with the television series next year, but I want to see this scene adapted. I see Pedro Pascal nailing it.
