I felt it to my core when she said "in a middle eastern family you're supposed to be something 'serious', doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc." It's disheartening that my family expected this out of me, too. Up to this day, they ask me "what did you even go to school for then?" I feel like they see me as a failure. It brings me to tears.

I love your story. I guess I would ask for other people who can't afford you high-end make up if you came out with an extention of your brand that had some affordable items so that all women can feel empowered like you.
