  • Quick video highlighting the Banu Defender. This is a re-upload due to missing footage. Upscaled for 4k. Alien week is soon approaching!! Thanks for the feedback❤

I hate to be one of those people, but if you are concerned about the Carrack's giant ramp being used for griefing you as a solo player, then I'd say you are using it wrong. As a solo player the Carrack should be your hub and spawn point, but you should be landing in a C8 and leaving the Carrack in orbit.
  • @playboxfan
Nothing beats the Nomad as a solo daily driver.
  • @donaldengel4128
Hey now... The Carrack is a decent solo ship. You don't use the ramp as a solo player... you use the Pisces or Fury in the hangar to exit the ship unless you are at a station. Main pro is: You can respawn there if you die. Main con is: It has no pilot controlled guns, so you have to run from a fight or go get in the hangar ship.
  • @timteeling7348
You are correct about the Crrack. I got jump several times even though you may look before opening the door.
  • @noideas439
There is some wierd audio cutting around where you talk about the polar paint and fly through the river. Might be on my end tho, hope you catch it!
  • @Immortal_BP
it would cool if in the future you could replace some of the intertior like the beds and place an additional shield generator
  • @BrunoBonamici
carrack is not for solo play, but you can exit the carrack through the airlock on the side. And it in space the airlock on the top.

I often find my self in my Banu Defender. It's for sure one of my daily drivers. Two other ships I find myself in very often are the Eclipse for Solo ERTs and my F8C Lightning for Player bounties.
  • @nolan6137
Banu Defender is no joke. Space crab ftw!
  • @mrsteel250
I really like this ship with a loadout of fixed S3 tachyon cannons, I just really like the cool effects of the tachyons if i'm being honest but I do like the alpha damage you can get coupled with the defenders good maneuverability for it's size
  • @KarlBarbosa
Honestly, while she's fast, maneuverable, and has great range and a great look, she's just not worth the price IMO. No cargo, no vehicle support, 2nd seat is only good a second player to take over flying if you need to use the bathroom and effectively can't do anything otherwise ... and hell, no toilet, no armor racks (could be a big problem in the future), and a single weapon mount per player. I wouldn't call her a daily driver at all. Fun to drive, absolutely, but far too many situations where you'd need anything else. For that price, you could get a far more useful ship. The alien tax is real.
  • @mstrickk1
I've been daily driving the Raft. Mainly just doing bunkers with it like a weirdo.
  • @cygnus6623
I agree with you! The Banu Defender is my main ship tied to my game. I use it all the time! Bounties, Service Beacons, Boundies, deliveries, exploring, Great all-around ship! I have done extensive dog fighting in this and other ships and it really isn't much more vulnerable than other similar fighters. The size 2 shield is twice what the Hornets or Sabre (my other favorite) has. I also handles better than the Hornet and almost as good as the Sabre. Thanks for the vid...nice job!
  • @cprn.
It looks really cool and I'd consider it but I hate to pilot with offset view, I need to be in the middle...
  • @Sxrew
i solo the carrack fine. i am considering downsizing to the corsair or zeus MK
  • @nikkotan2840
I can't w8 for the Banu Defender new UI and Interface in the upcoming future update, i would love to see an Alien looking Interface Aesthetics that would be vastly different and unfamiliar on a new whole level since the Banu are more Ancient than the Xi'an yet i recently saw a Xi'an ship interior and interface highlight which already bad-ass for an ancient race though younger than the Banu.
  • @thugdadlife6538
I've been saying for years that the Banu Defender is the best daily driver. Main reason is that the fastest quantum drive in the game is a size 1. The Banu Defender has the largest quantum fuel tank that can use the fastest quantum drive the "VK-00" There are several other perks that the Defender offers, like the shields and weapons, but the fuel tank is the best in its class
  • @JagHiroshi
Banu Defender: Recent mass changes have resulted in extra hydrogen fuel burn time, which is welcome - but thrust changes have smashed 25 to 30% off the atmospheric flight speed. I'm melting mine as a result.
